Yeah, everyone is going bard and it also has incredibly fun RP potential.
I did up to the goblin camp with Monk and Warlock and I enjoyed the gameplay of Warlock better. Much more versatile, but Monk is fun for the dex checks and finding alternate routes and jump everywhere.

Maybe not so important with save scrumming, but spells (in the tabletop game) can often just do things without a check (like unlock doors and chests) which is a big reason why they are so good. Never make a roll you don’t have to.
didnt expect to care so much about conversations in this game, fantasy characters usually is a rather big turn off for me, but i really dont want to upset some characters and so on. hell i spent a lot of time trying not to upset a dog

By Patriotism Go To PostShould rename Karmic Dice to Bullshit Dice.The problem is if you're having great streaks ( I have +10 when disarm traps or lockpicking ) so I keep getting super high rolls. So when I do something that needs to work, you have a bigger chance of bad luck.
I'm leaving them on for now but on Reddit people are saying that turning them off gives a fairer result.

It can fill many roles without committing to any particular one.

If you want a ranged sustained dps class, either Fighter or Warlock (with eldritch blast maxed out) are your best bet.
