By Kidjr Go To PostI don't like the feel of our squad but I think alot of clubs bar utd, Chelsea and Liverpool can say that.
Think Liverpool are the ones to watch
I think they're going to be great going forward, but a total shambles at the back again. Proper Entertainers potential.

Our squad is in shambles. We have a lot of attacking talent but not enough balance, and I think our preseason is a good prediction of how many goals we’ll concede.
That said, our attack is gonna be thrilling I think.
By Laboured Go To PostBrighton are going to do it, lads. (They're not, but they probably should).Europa is going to be a big challenge for them. The difference between playing on tue/wed in the CL and thursday for the EL is huge.
I didnt watch any of our pre season matches, and the reactions from mostly everyone are not great
If you look into it, not a lot of changes were made into the first 11 apart from Xhaka - Rice. Surely we cant have regressed that much?

Once you get a dm you'll be fine.

Think we are gunna miss xhaka alot.
Don't feel exactly potent starting the season with eddie
By Vini.lad Go To PostI didnt watch any of our pre season matches, and the reactions from mostly everyone are not greatThink we look decent but obv expectations are much higher this season and this is the first time Arteta is managing a squad of players rather than his first 11 that stayed fit pretty much all of last season.

Insiders saying that Hjulmand to Sporting is done. Would love that, he seems to be the midfielder we are missing.
We gonna smash everyone.
Don’t win anything that matters in July/August.
Just getting the players warmed up.
Arteta gonna have the lads ready for Nottingham Forest.

Rice is better than Xhaka (although I liked Xhaka) and there’ll be teething problems whether he’s adapting Rice to Xhaka’s role or he takes over from Partey and Havertz plays the 8 instead.
But Havertz and Timber is better than Nelson and Holding as cover at least.
By Kidjr Go To PostThink we are gunna miss xhaka alot.Yeah Eddie starting is worrying, but I think Trossard will play there while Jesus is out

Smells so much like a massive flop. I don't think he will start for us.

By Kidjr Go To PostOnce you get a dm you'll be fine.Matip and Gomez as CB backup is a bit iffy now.
A concern with the new system as well is that there isn't a third CB to make up for the lack of RB. Robertson is still playing a standard full back job. Going to be a lot of dangerous counters and 2-on-2 situations like last season.

By Daz Go To PostGerman Fraulines are back in the game!Nope.
Germany knocked out a world cup by South Korea. Now where have I heard that before...

By Laboured Go To PostLmao 😔
By Willkiller Go To PostThey are weaker tbhI don't think City will let Bernardo go this summer even if he wanted to at this point. Too important in general but especially with Gundo and Mahrez gone. He'll still have another year on his contract so they'll probably try to get 50m out of him next summer. Ideally he extends and stays for another 4-5 years..
KDB another year older. Gundogan gone, Mahrez gone. Silva still likely to leave, Walker a maybe to leave (probably unlikely now)
And I do think it's going to be hard to get them mentally to push themselves to the same standard after winning the treble.
Copium?
We will miss those players and I'm not really sure whether I think Kovacic will offer much, but Gvardiol and Olise would be a really nice haul so fingers crossed. To Nate's point, I imagine we could add some random signing in later August like Akanji this past season as well who ends up being a much bigger contributor then expected.
Sky saying we've agreed a deal for Livramento, weirdly quiet from everyone else (at this point) though.
Would be really happy with that one though
Would be really happy with that one though
That is a lot but before his injury he looked really good, I guess it's similar to when Man U bought Shaw in theory he could be our RB for a long time
Southampton love a bargain and don't mind including a sell-on clause to continue developing a young player. We're seeing that with Lavia and now Tino. So you have to factor that into their fees when they're sold. Not all that money is heading to Saints.
A lot for a second choice RB, but I suppose Trippier only has a year or two left at top level. And like Will says if he’s there for 10 years it’s alright.
By sohois Go To PostApproaching 40m could mean like 25m of difficult addons.
Pretty sure the fixed fee is like £35m.
Our preseason results are mostly meaningless, we never played with anything barely resembling our first XI, will be interesting to see how the Community Shield will ho
By Batong Go To PostMore sad for the Swedish champions was that the guy in goal was a apparently Swedish too who retired a few weeks back as a CB but was recruited to the Faroe Islands team as a GK after a holiday on Rhodes (before the fires I hope). Stopped three of five pens 🤣🤣
that's amazing

chelsea will end playing kepa again.... ffs.
By Laboured Go To PostPretty sure the fixed fee is like £35m.30m and 5m "Champions League related add ons" (whatever that means) is what our most reliable journos are saying now (they also initially reported close to 40m like Ornstein
By Laboured Go To PostGetting him and Dembele's wages off the books presumably makes it a little easier for them to get Cancelo. Good.
By Laboured Go To PostPretty sure the fixed fee is like £35m.turns out the biggest Saudi overpay of the window will go to Newcastle then
