By Laboured Go To PostHope we're all looking forward to Todd's £120m bid on the basis of these unverified leaked reports.
Lavia really should stay with Southampton this season btw. He ain't ready for the big clubs. Liverpool wanted him, but it's clear they see him as one for the future rather than someone who'll be a key player. Chelsea are duds.
Or he could join Manchester Club.

By Cleff Go To PostDidn't think he'd actually do it.Alan Shearer right now:
Michael Owen and Jamie Carragher have been especially pathetic today.
Who have Brighton got lined up as a replacement? These lads are smashing it in the transfer markets.

I can see the wheels turning in his head.
If Enzo was £100M then a guy with two years experience and these numbers....
😬
It would be wild to fork out that Caicedo money, given that would actually give us a positive net spend.
Wonder how quickly we'd have ended up at this stage if Neymar hadn't gone to PSG. I assume that just hastened the ridiculous inflation by a year or two given that at that point there were already three state-backed clubs getting to the latter stages of the CL, and Abramovic as well.
By Laboured Go To PostI do think Caicedo at £110m is a better deal than Rice at £105m tho.Simple maths innit. More money better deal.
Klopp must be very sure about him. British record for a DM is whew.
According to the latest rumours Manchester United and Juventus are about to agree on the Pogba deal. The 23-year-old could join the Premier League for €130 million.
Liverpool trainer Jurgen Klopp said that he wouldn't spend that much money on a player, because it is very risky since he could get injured:
"If you bring one player in for £100m and he gets injured, then it all goes through the chimney.
"The day that this is football, I'm not in a job anymore, because the game is about playing together.
"That is how everybody in football understands it. You always want to have the best, but building the group is necessary to be successful.
"Other clubs can go out and spend more money and collect top players. I want to do it differently. I would even do it differently if I could spend that money.
"I don't know exactly how much money we could spend because nobody has told me, 'No, you can't do this'.
"If I spend money, it is because I am trying to build a team, a real team. Barcelona did it. You can win championships, you can win titles, but there is a manner in which you want it".

Just think he has a much higher potential.
By Laboured Go To PostJesal has been possessed by the spirit of Michael Owen.Rude, I watched a movie tonight
By Laboured Go To PostI still wouldn't rule out a last minute hyper-Todding. Want my £120m prediction to come true.I want to believe
Rice and Caicedo are gonna be playing different roles tho
And we wanted someone to go fight for titles right away, Caicedo is very good right now but it'll take some time for him to get that next level

This is a human being up for sale. And let me tell you, as a product of the US public school system I have no knowledge of how such things work, but I do know this isn't fucking ebay!
By Laboured Go To PostJust think he has a much higher potential.Higher potential doesnt equate product on the field right away. That being said Caicedo will do really well under Klopp’s system. I didnt watch much of either last season, but from what I’ve gathered, they’ll both bring something different to a midfield. I feel like Rice can be more of a leader in a team which is why I’m excited to see his partnership with Ode.
110m oof
That's a lot of Brexits. Not sure whether it reflects well or poorly on FSG, has a massive whiff of panic about it but it's a huge amount of money and trust to invest in the player and manager. No idea if it was on the cards all along behind the scenes which is why they were so reticent to just pay the extra £5m required to sign Lavia. Guess that would have leaked ages ago if so.

Probably didn’t expect to have 55m suddenly in the coffers. I think we’ve been watching the Caicedo thing and got a signal at some point that Brighton were willing to sell.
Kinda wild how, once again, we hear nothing about interest and all of the sudden we sign them.
By Oddinho Go To PostFucking hell. Our midfield suddenly looks mighty tasty
I think Brighton had the best midfield last season next to City, and we’ve bought the two best of their players, then added a mega talent with Szoboszlai.
Its looking good, boys.

By Laboured Go To PostRumours Inter are looking at Martial but something tells me they can't afford his transfer fee or his wages for that matter. How much do you think he would cost?
By Cleff Go To PostDidn't think he'd actually do it.

Friday lad..
By Laboured Go To PostSo we were lagging for the 5 million extra for Lavia to use it for Caicedo?? Ultimate smokescreen 😂😂
