By reilo Go To PostGTJ makes no sense for Portland. They can make the salaries work without him.
You don't think he'd have more value in a reroute at the trade deadline than the others?
I forgot about the history. I suppose they'd probably rather avoid taking him back.
I mean at that point they'd expand the deal to move him within the deal.
It also doesn't make sense for Toronto much either. They'd be left with zero SGs and lose another ball handler and a floor spacer.
If the worry is not enough shooting for Toronto, then you gotta keep GTJ.

My thought was you reroute him as filler to Phoenix for Ayton to Portland and send Eric Gordon back to the Raps. Maybe send some seconds to PHX. Spacing still a little sus but then your spot up triples are way more open because Dame.

By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostNone of those teams stockpiled picks, almost all the teams trading their players for pick stockpiles have flexibility and more options. The Magic tried the half foot in half foot out type of rebuild after Dwight and it failed miserably, they're doing better now off the Vucecic trade than they did with Dwight. What teams have done this to high success?
If you believe Cronin is a good gm, go scorched earth.
By blackace Go To PostWhat teams have done this to high success?Boston
Which iteration? The current one? They were a 41, 25, and 40 win team for three seasons after the KG era and that's it. That's hardly scorched earth bottoming out Hinkie style.

Those three outside of Ray were cooked. Even then they never were godawful thereafter.
Again, I suggest everyone look at Orlando post-Dwight and how many Top 6 picks they had and did nothing with them.

By blackace Go To Posttbf how many Billy Kings are there?Just before trading the farm for KG and PP, Billy traded a FRP for Gerald Wallace. That pick became Damian Lillard.
We'll never see another Billy King again.

The draft picks given up for KG, Pierce, and Gerald Wallace within a 12-month period resulted in Lillard, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Collin Sexton, and Kyle Kuzma from those picks.
And Billy kept his job for three more seasons after the summer of 2012 and 2013.
Wild.

By DY_nasty Go To PostOrlando is arguably the worst run team in the leagueThere's many more paths to being an Orlando instead of a Boston or San Antonio
Orlando is on the right path now, they were terribly run
People forget they had Sabonis and Oladipo but traded them for Ibaka π€£
What they've done since they traded Vucevic has been solid.

orlando has been lucky and still gone out of their way to fuck shit up at every opportunity

Orlando's ticket office really needs to stop with the "this up and coming 22 year old will soon be a Laker so catch him while you can" stuff.

Is Dame gonna be okay playing for them? No way he whines about playing with a top 3 guy in the NBA right?
