By Sho_Nuff82 Go To PostWhy trade Mikal straight up for Simons and Miller knowing that we owe our pick the next two years and we still have to pay Ben?Because it makes no difference! At least you get a Top 3 pick out of it today.

By Sharp Go To PostYou gave up basically nothing lol, I have no clue why we did that considering all we had left to offer to anyone was cap space.weird shots are fine. Slow, low shots are not.
Guys who shoot as well as Miller pretty much always succeed in the NBA, I promise you whatever comparisons you're thinking of that busted didn't shoot as well as him. Plenty of examples of successful guys with weird shots, if it goes in it goes in.
The perfect comparison is Adam Morrison who shot way better than Miller in college and also couldn't finish or create his own shot. 🤷🏾♂️
By blackace Go To Postweird shots are fine. Slow, low shots are not.He shot badly for two years and then had an obvious outlier season on only 5 shots a game, didn't even have 80 FT%. Miller has shot well every season he's played at every level and took over 7 shots a game and has an 85 FT%. They're nowhere near the same caliber of shooter. I get your concern with his shot but I think he'll be fine.

Either way, a Peja trajectory is a lot more likely than PG/Tatum one for Miller imo
By DY_nasty Go To PostI wouldn't compare Ammo either really. He was always more of a scorer than dedicated shooter.fair enough. but shooting from chest with a low release and funky gather is wild. I never understood the PG13 comparisons at all.

Peja is definitely the career he could reach if his shot translates.

He'll be better defensively than Peja IMO. A Peja who plays defense would be a pretty good player, definitely better than a lot of #2s lol.

Miller might "succeed" but he's the type of guy you'd be happy with in the mid to late lottery, not #2. Scoot is that guy

Scoot is that guyNot sure if you saw my list of #2 picks since 2000 but that kind of player would absolutely be considered a success at #2 lol. Scoot is definitely the more prototypical high upside #2 pick but that's not necessarily a good thing since he also has his share of bust flags and a lot of #2s outright bust.
By Sharp Go To PostHe'll be better defensively than Peja IMO. A Peja who plays defense would be a pretty good player, definitely better than a lot of #2s lol.Peja ended up a better defender in his old, injured age because it would bait guys into taking long 2's instead of 3s or driving to the rim. lol

number is hard and that's kinda why Miller feels like a standard number 2 trap pick
