I love how in all his stories he's trying to chill but then someone yells at him so he has to try a little bit...

I started using these videos lately with subtitles, probably some of the best free training videos I seen on the net.
Also, gonna use Caitlin Clark's shooting workout, 100 middies, 100 threes and 100 freethrows.

I paid $120 each for two seats in the lower bowl to watch them play the process Sixers without Embiid in early 2016 at Oracle. None of this is remotely surprising.
I was going through some plus minus data and I think I did not fully appreciate just how bad Ayton has been... the Suns were actually a losing team last year with him on the court. I'm amazed they aren't trying to trade him, his rim protection is super fake and that's the only possible justification for having him on the team. Yes I realize part of it might be him not trying because he doesn't feel appreciated, but I doubt that's going to change if he doesn't switch teams anyway.
By reilo Go To PostThey've been trying to trade him for 3 seasonsIf they really wanted him out that badly they would have thrown him into the Beal trade instead of giving us effectively three firsts... judging by the other roster decisions we plan to tank for like the next four years so why not?
With Kuzma's new contract and adding Poole's awful one, adding Ayton would've put the Wizards in the 4th highest payroll for next season -- already at the first apron.

By DY_nasty Go To PostKemba come on smhHard to blame him. Euroleague is still competitive basketball, he'll be the star there (whether he deserves it or not at this point in his career), and he might even get a bigger contract than he did last year in the NBA. Monaco's a good team too so he might even win a chip!

His knees are cooked. If he plays more than four times a month, he's risking it all.
Interesting thing I noticed from this excellent post about "second-tier" shot creation is that virtually every elite shot creator (all but 2, Brunson and DeRozan) had a positive BPM by year 2, and all but 1 (DeRozan--he's had a weird career) had a positive BPM by year 3. Not married to BPM, was just the easiest RAPM estimator to check.
So, we can say that e.g., Jalen Green will probably never be a great #1 option, even after just two years of play. Not sure if we can apply that to Cade since he was injured and only played a few games this year, but he's also been negative both of his first two years.

green's archetype of 2 guard with limited/avg pg skills needs to be insanely good to be a number 1 option. booker and lavine are the only guys in recent years to achieve that and yeah...
cade is slow as hell on-ball and never gets free throws. if his 3ball comes arounds he might have a chance since he was good at that in college but he's pretty meh as an actual number one option.

I think only Cason Wallace in the top 10 sort of fits that kind of profile, so maybe they are learning? I guess you could argue Brandon Miller as well (slow and mediocre at drawing fouls--though actually he wasn't as bad as I remembered), but he posted top tier impact stats as a prospect unlike Cade or JG. Like Miller was #2 in luck adjusted college RAPM behind Zach Edey, Cade was #203.

Edit: Actually Taylor Hendricks as well a bit, but I don't think anyone was expecting him to be a #1 option anyway. Anyway if #9 and #10 are the only ones in the top 10 who look like bad choices to be #1 options I feel like that's still a good sign teams are improving at drafting. Or maybe it's just that 2023 is a particularly deep draft.
Edit 2: I forgot Cason wasn't even the real #10 pick, it was Lively, who obviously wasn't drafted for his offense at all.
