By pilonv1 Go To PostHe will be on a team with 4 HOFers, his offense will mostly come from open looks. If he can't hit those the there's not much hope.He can definitely hit his open looks, so maybe on the current Warriors squad he'll be fine.
By pilonv1 Go To PostThey already start 4 - Steph, Klay, Dray and Looney
By blackace Go To PostWhere is the 3rd team? Herro to the Nets keeps popping up but what do they have to give the Blazers?
The Nets would ideally want to do a 1:1 swap of Herro for Simmons but why would the Blazers ever do that? Unless Ben shows up looking like old Ben the first 6 weeks of the season, why wouldn't the Blazers just stash Herro and move him for more pieces?
By blackace Go To PostIt's not the amount it's the quality of picks
It's happening?
Those picks are a) too far out and b) Miami has had two bad seasons in 25 years. Their entire offer is shit.
By blackace Go To PostIt would be interesting to see him next to ScootNo it wouldn't. Herro ain't worth shit.
Rather than more lame Dame talk, let's get into our SL impressions. My effort post on the Pels:
I was real happy the team seemed to focus on seeing Dyson's developmental progress.
1st two games were focused on him being a ball-dominant scorer. Lots of drives with layup attempts, floaters, and taking every open 3 that comes his way.
The last two games they (or he?) switched it up a bit and played a more typical ball-dominant PG role. Still lots of drives, but with the focus on creating for others instead of self-creating. He apparently was instructed to still take layups and paint shots if he had clearly beaten his man. He also cut out the 3s in those games since I guess everyone(?) agreed he wasn't hitting him and he should spend the time working on other aspects of his offense in those last two games, instead.
Seabron was given a green light and played like he always plays (drives or bust with 1-2 jumpshots per game mixed in) but maybe with a bit more consistent defense and rebounding effort, though both need more work before I would be happy to see him get regular season bench minutes.
Matkovich... was more or less ignored on offense. They had him working a lot of different defensive coverages, though. Dropping, switching, playing at the level, trapping, etc. They definitely wanted to see if he could play defense outside the paint. He's also not ready for regular season minutes, imo. I'm losing hope in him as a backup big.
Liddel and Hawkins didn't seem to have any grand development plan thought out. For them, it seemed like the Pels staff just wanted them to experience playing at this level of size and athleticism.
Liddell was definitely more comfortable in game 4 than he was in games 1 and 2 (he rested for game 3 as part of the acl recovery). He might actually be playable for spot minutes, tbh.
Hawkins couldn't buy a bucket from downtown. Which didn't bother me too much because it happens and he was still creating enough space and time to get his shot off cleanly without being rushed. He also had some really nifty closeout drives and cuts to the basket which were marginally more effective than I was expecting from his draft breakdowns.
However, Hawkins had major butterfingers all SL. Dropped passes, losing handle, all while under no pressure. Might be a nerves thing. I hope it passes and passes soon.
No one else on the Pels SL team was really worth paying attention to. Maybe Nolley or whatever. Maybe.

Ausar's vertical is insane.
By Smokey Go To PostAnd he’s the less athletic of the twoHonestly, after watching some more Ausar, I think people way over-exaggerated the difference between them athletically. Which makes sense, they're identical twins.

Harden dusted out the old fat suit.
I literally asked myself "who are those guys with Rick Ross"? And then I read the text...
It was a good chuckle the first time
But it’s been like 4 months and she just keeps going. Does she think anyone’s even paying attention to her still?

i think hawkins is still getting used to where the nba 3pt line is because he keeps looking down at the floor to find it when coming off screens
