Even the Warriors don't want to hit that second apron and they have a huge fanbase, the face of the NBA, and a team that contends for championships on a nightly basis. For mediocre teams like the Hawks, these albatross contracts are a huge liability right now and they're probably desperate to unload them to anyone willing to offer cap space. That's why I'm so frustrated the Wizards basically didn't get anything back for taking on Poole's contract, cap space is quite valuable right now and we just burned a ton of it over the next four years for nothing.
