By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostI mean it's even more impressive because by the time those 3 were Spurs they were well into their 20s.
It's like he was made to be a Spur, who talks like that at 19? David, Manu and Tim probably did.
By Kibner Go To PostProbably not Manu. LolManu was a bit of a knuckleheadπ

USA lead BTW
Slovenia massive choke lol.
...Why did the US take a shot that early?
I mean they still could if they wanted to. It would be hilarious. His fullback blocking for Ja going downhill would be a cheat code.
You mean the illegal screens he's gonna get suddenly called for because he's not in a Warriors jersey?
By blackace Go To PostReally curious who would be the best trade partner for KAT?i'd say miami if KAT and Jimmy didn't have history lol
By DY_nasty Go To Posti'd say miami if KAT and Jimmy didn't have history lolPortland seems like another good answer but don't think they have enough to get him while keeping all their best players
By reilo Go To PostPortland has sub zero interest in KAT. He is the absolutely opposite of what they need from a big.π€·πΎββοΈ I think Dame and KAT pick n pop would be a nice combo. I never said it would happen but if they didn't have to give up the farm, it would be a decent fit imo.

KAT is the complete inverse of that and his contract sucks.
Like discussed the other day I think they like the idea of Ayton but don't want his attitude and salary.

I just think it would be a good/interesting fit. I am not reporting that it's happening π
Ayton would also be a good fit with Dame.
Wonder what it would take to get either trade done
Last I heard Ayton was being overvalued and the Suns asked something dumb for him. Seems to be a lot of that going around.
KAT is a really awkward fit with most rosters, I think. In theory, having a big guy who's a good shooter should be what everyone wants, but the problem is that KAT gets absolutely cooked trying to guard wings, and isn't really a good enough rim protector to not have him on court with another big. Two-big lineups where one of them isn't an elite roaming help defender (which is probably the most valuable kind of player in the whole league right now that isn't considered a star?) are on their way out, and I think Minnesota's Gobert experiment has shown that you can't get away with KAT being the help defender no matter how good the rim protector is (Gobert definitely regressed but he's still a better defensive center than most guys in the league).
So what team with an elite help defender needs an offensive upgrade at C? Warriors might consider it if they resign Draymond since they desperately need some real size, but I'm not sure what they have to give up and KAT doesn't seem like the kind of player they typically want on the court. Celtics literally just got Porzingis, who serves a similar role. Miami but like DY said, not happening. Cavs are probably happy with Jarrett Allen for now, they're young with a solid core and probably want to see what their lineup can do before they start tinkering with it. Nets and Grizzlies are also probably completely set.
Atlanta seems like a really good fit, potentially? Capela can't do everything himself and they really want to offload John Collins... not sure how they would convince Minnesota to take him, though. It's not like the Timberwolves need guards. Also, the Bucks might want him as a Brook Lopez replacement? I'm not sure what assets they have to offer but it would make sense.
The only other team I can think of that will actually have a good enough help defender to make KAT work and aren't set at center would be the Spurs. I think that might actually be the best fit in the whole class, since they lack three point shooting and have a lot of draft capital they need to spend, while Minnesota needs to load up on picks to recover from the Gobert trade. But I have a hard time imagining the Spurs wanting to do something that drastic before they even see their team play a game, and I also feel like the price for KAT might be too steep for them to be willing to pay since they're not particularly desperate given their contention timeline. So... dunno.

I think the Knicks would be a good fit fwiw

By blackace Go To PostNY Towns would beβ¦ πHaha I should have remembered about New York but yeah, imagine the reaction to that quote from earlier where he was talking about how them losing in the first round was actually harder than winning a championship.
NY has to do something soon with a lot of those picks and young guys anyways. And I can't think of too many teams that could use a stretch big more than them either.
Houston makes sense as well. There's plenty of places for Towns to end up as long as the framework isn't 'instant contender'

I mean yeah he could go anywhere that doesn't care about winning games, but the fit in Houston is really awkward. He'd fit great on offense with Sengun and they do need spacing, but their defense would be a complete tire fire. Plus, I think they basically don't have any more picks for the next few years, so I think they do actually want to start winning sometime soon. And i'm not sure whether they're willing to give up any of their young guys for a guy like KAT, it's a little early to give up on them IMO.
Aside from Pacers/Hawks I don't see many teams trying to get KAT and that's only because they've trying to move from Turner/Capela/John Collins for years.
Fit wise? Replace J. Allen with KAT and Cavs might have something.

By reilo Go To PostDoesn't Houston have a truckload of Brooklyn's picks from the Harden trade?I meant they don't have their own picks so they don't really have an incentive to be bad. But yeah, I just looked and they have quite a lot of random firsts and seconds, so maybe they could make it work.

sengun with a stretch big to lean on would be nasty tho ijs
