By NiceGuy Go To PostFound it a bit weird how certain Liverpool people were that we'd be getting Bellingham even when we were miles away from looking like we could even get close to getting into the top 4. Were Madrid just not interested back then? Even if the idea of being the face of the club was appealing to him, it was a no-brainer to go to Madrid or any other club where an awful season means finishing third and never, ever missing out on the CL. Would be idiotic to assume that we'll be back in the CL in 2024/25 as well, with or without him.Journos suggested Bellingham was still willing to move, but Liverpool just didn't want/couldn't afford to pay the money
By FootbalIFan Go To PostTrippier was good and still is imoI actually forgot he played for Atleti. Seems like Lolspurs players tend to have a higher rate of success in La liga than most other EPL clubs.
@willkiller
(But I agree bellendham will suck)
By Laboured Go To PostDid he feign to cut inside on you and then go down the line, brother?
Nicked the ball of and we both (I) went full sprint but tried to stop way to suddenly and my ankle couldn't take the weight.

Which one?
By sohois Go To PostJournos suggested Bellingham was still willing to move, but Liverpool just didn't want/couldn't afford to pay the moneyWonder if we realised our midfield was in such a mess that we need three reasonably priced decent players rather than one great one. Either way it's a tough one to spin positively.
As it stands our options are Fabinho, Henderson, MacAllister, Thiago, Bajcetic, Jones and Elliott. Fabinho was better at the end of the season but still well short of where we need him to be imo, Thiago isn't reliable in availability or performances, Henderson can barely run, I'm not sure Jones or Elliott have it in them to nail a place down. Would be very useful if Bajcetic could plant himself in there, even if he does we're still two short I think. And if they're not good enough we'll end up where we were last season before Keita, Milner and Ox left, with a massive overemphasis on quantity over quality.
Have we been linked with anyone in the last few days? The Thuram link seemed to come and go very quickly, can't really be arsed to keep up with the speculation these days. LFC-twitter would presumably be going mental already if we hadn't got MacAllister done asap.

There's more than one?

I thought you just may play with someone known as 'Zaha' for him similar style, just as I used to play with a 'Pele'
Poch desperate to keep Mount according to the Telegraph.
Will be very funny when we miss out on this one too.

Lad.
Wan Bissaka's brother plays for my work's 5-a-side. He's the second best 1v1 defender in the country.

Bring Gravenberch to Hitch.
By Laboured Go To PostJust get Caicedo you fucks.Arsenal fans, man.
By Laboured Go To PostIt speaks to Nigel's consistency that he'd happily 1v1 Zaha and/or waterboard himself.who hasn't waterboarded themselves in the shower
Honestly think of slaent every other week I'm in the shower. Please stop this goodness from running over my face.
P.s. I don't think zaha is much faster than me tbh

Disso how are you all good with Mount leaving but upset at the prospect of losing the perennial underperformer?
By Laboured Go To PostDisso how are you all good with Mount leaving but upset at the prospect of losing the perennial underperformer?I like him as a player and he’s a likeable kid. Havertz has been played out of position the entire time he has been here. All his best performances came as a number 10 and he rarely gets played there. You just know with a proper manager he will be sensational. He’s only just turned 24 this week.

By Laboured Go To PostI'd be legitimately pissed if my club signed Havertz even for like £40m.Helping them out of their FFPHole is embarrassing. Very typical.
By Esch Go To PostHelping them out of their FFPHole is embarrassing. Very typical. This part though, yeah, so good. Everyone was saying it’s going to be difficult to offload our players but evidently that isn’t the case.
As I said before, Havertz is decent and was probably Chelsea's best player last season tbh, I just hate us giving Chelsea more money lol
Seems tenuous rumours about Sancho to Spurs/Villa. Would rather we gave him one more season at the club before giving up on him. His time at Dortmund was so good that he's worth persisting with especially as he's still only 23.
Always the worry that he'll come good and it won't be for us.

Tuchel and Potter aren't proper managers? Who exactly meets the standards of the mythical Haavertz unlocker?
I'd sell Sancho in an instant if someone was willing to offer £50m. But he's also on like 300 grand a week, so not sure who could afford that, or why he'd leave.
By Laboured Go To PostIt speaks to Nigel's consistency that he'd happily 1v1 Zaha and/or waterboard himself. One of my favorite posters ever. I hope we can meet up next time I am in London, Nigel -- would be a night to remember (or maybe unable to remember) I'm sure. Hopefully get over there again this year some time.. been too long.
Chelsea wanting £75m for Havertz is incredible. The idea that his value would have gone up after 3 seasons of being very underwhelming is hysterical. A nothing player who has had 1 big moment in his career and done mostly fuck all otherwise. He's a £40m player, tops, and only because of his age.
It's not £3m for Jobe, like.
Anyway I've not been impressed by him when I've seen him play but he's only 17. Feels a bit like a vanity project for our DoF because right now he'd not get into our first team - more chance of playing at Birmingham. So yeah... don't get it. Don't really feel like we're in a position to be spending millions on players who are years away from playing in the first XI...
