And Antwerp won the league in stoppage.
By flabetto Go To PostHas anyone started rumors of Benzema to Arsenal?
If not, I’m starting them now.
Someone needs to conduct a seance with Steve to see if he meant summer 2023.

By n8 dogg Go To PostAproposExactly. There are levels to success, and it's all relative. Any manager "could" win the league with Celtic, just like any manager "could" win the league with Manchester City, Bayern Munich or PSG.
When you're that dominant it's not just about winning, it's about the way you win. The only managers who have done similar things in recent times at Celtic are Martin O'Neill and Brendan Rodgers who have won trophies and managed teams in that 4-6th region in England. And I don't think Ange has the character flaws that Rodgers does.
Got to give the guy a shot, it's a risk but then pretty much every manager would be at Spurs.
By flabetto Go To PostThey’ll finish sixth and win the Europa League.A mere penalty shootout away from peak flabstradamus.

So, the managerial merry-go-round muppetry so far is:-
Ange to lolspurs
Nagelsmann + Thierry Henry to PSG
Marsch to Nice
Enrique to Napoli
Potter to Leeds/Leicester/C. Palace

Feels like football is in a gooooooooooood place.
By Cleff Go To PostDoubt this is true. Pretty sure if Chelsea wanted to buy a stake it would have to be approved by the fans in a general assembly.
Edit : apparently there's no need for a general assembly as it will be a minority stake.
Our president was invited to attend a Chelsea match a few weeks ago so maybe there's something there.

In all seriousness, it feels like Chelsea are going to have a very bad window to try and attract players without CL football next season.
By Freewheelin Go To PostlolseaChelsea were offering 3.5M€ (net) a year to Ugarte, PSG's offer is of 5M€ a year.

But personally, I would want to test myself in a more competitive league

Listened to Ben Jacobs Twitter space about the Ugarte deal.
His sources deny that Chelsea offered to buy a stake of Sporting.

I don't like City but I hate Arsenal and Liverpool much more. City were irrelevant for most of my life, it's hard to adapt my feelings to accommodate them.
By markao Go To PostFantastic. What a hit and what a story.
By NiceGuy Go To PostI'm no FF, but how is a shot with an 81% save probability a less difficult shot than a 96 or 98%?It was hard to tell in real time but the shot had a little swerve to it as well. I didn't think it would go in but it was probably tougher to save than most people are giving it credit for.
edit: I've completely misread that second tweet 😔
As shite as De Gea is, looks to me like he has no view of the ball whatsoever until it's cleared the cluster of players, and you obviously can't set yourself for a ball you can't see. It looks bad because of how slow and skewed the shot was, but I'm not sure anyone would be calling it an error if courtois or alisson conceded it
By Dr3upMushroom Go To PostIs that Pep?Our kitman Brandon. He's a mad man who does this every time, lol.
