How in the flaming fuck do you spend $90 million on college football? I need a bigger breakdown of finances.
Looks like they're updating these numbers in real time cause the list is now totally different. Still mindblowing.

Those figures are genuinely disgusting.
The money is there in the major conferences.
They should just break away from the NCAA while remaining associated with the schools.
By KingGondo Go To PostI'm with you.Reform on how schools handle athletic budgets needs to happen. If they won't regulate themselves, then federal regulation needs to step in.

Because the coaches and NCAA are greedy bastards.
Where's the clip of that 3 mill dollar a year coach calling players who want to be paid "entitled."

The same Dabo Sweeney who's attending a fundraiser for an anti-LBGT group this week?

"There's enough entitlement in this world as it is."
Screwed up as his thought process is, he's not alone it, hence the "student-athlete" being SOL for so long.
Has anyone who actually knows something about Title IX ever analyzed how that works with paying revenue sport players? If football players get paid, do softball players get paid too? Do they get the same amount or can it differ based on how much money the sport generates?
(And by "anyone who actually knows something about Title IX," I mean someone who has actually had to work with the details of the statute as a significant portion of their life/work, not just any random that knows what Title IX is without looking it up.)

BYU will be paying all athletes $4,500 a year. It's not a ton but its enough to help i think. USC only gives $1,500, because we need more reasons to dislike them.

wow.
This probably doesn't even count the cost bloating they do so it looks like they are making less profit. Those large training areas didn't come out of no where for a business that doesn't want to spend money on things if possible
By Dipro Go To Posti thought "that's low for a month" and it's for a year?Thats on top of tuition, room and board, and books and fees. You have to pay all athletes the same currently, so its across 21 sports. There is no way they could afford to pay that per month.
wow.
By diehard Go To PostYou have to pay all athletes the same currentlyoh. that's bad.
