It's incredible how we won 3-0 and I'm still annoyed.
We didn't play well but Santa Clara is just that bad.

Luis Neto was given the award of Man Of The Match by the broadcasting channel of the match in a nice gesture.
He had two big injuries, one in a knee and a collapsed lung. He has apparently been thinking about retiring but Amorim wants to renew his contract.
He is our 6th choice CB right now because we a lot of quality in that area (he even said his team mates are the best defences in the league in a very emotional post match interview where he was struggling to hold the tears) but he is an important person on the locker room, it's normal to see him give team talks before the matches in our backstage videos.
If he decides to retire, the club is ready to offer him a job in the club's structure.
He seems to be a great person and the squad loves and respects him.

Morning, lads.
By Fergie Go To PostWhat a surprise. I expect nothing from Levy & his goons and I'm still disappointed. He will dilly-dally and watch Nagelsmann wander off to R. Madrid or Chelsea instead.
Scum nooo.
Might as well try for Nagelsmann now.
I wish it had worked for Potter - and there are mitigating circumstances galore - but he just isn't doing it.
How can you play James at RCB when we surely have enough fit CBs to fill in?
Why is Cucu getting in ahead of Badiashile?
Why is Kante replacing Mudryk and basically acting as another forward?
The Athletic posted an article on just how incoherent everything is. That's a real problem since we're now seven months in to Potter's tenure - where are the combinations? Who is the best XI?
Sure, a bloated squad and injuries have made things tricky, but surely there should be something there at this stage. Tuchel was able to establish an identity within a few weeks, what is our playing identity right now?
Being a charisma void isn't helping either. It's fine when we're winning, but saying the "lads gave everything" every time after a loss is weak - as is pointing to xG.
I think Potter is a good coach, and I did want it to work - but I just don't see it happening now.

I think it's clear at this point, there's no reason you'd be positive about potter and his future as a Chelsea fan. Feel like he's shown nothing in terms of improvement.
^ absolutely agree with the above. He doesnât have the strength of conviction to pick one thing and stick with it. Chopping and changing constantly, got no idea what his best team isâŚ
There are caveats. Theyâve had a lot of injuries, and their squad building has been a joke. No good strikers and 30 professionals to keep happy is an impossible job for anyone. But itâs just not going to work for him now. Sunk cost fallacy.

Potter doesnât have the ego to manage a club like Chelsea, unfortunately. Wonât have challenged Todd on the bizarre transfer strategy. Wonât be able to freeze out players like Arteta did with Auba and Ozil, or Guardiola with Hart and Yaya.
Shame as he is a really really good coach. But superclubs are rarified air. He doesnât have it right now.

I feel like a stronger manager wouldn't even bother trying to keep all 30 players happy - they'd be focusing on the 20 or so they like and really working on what needs to be improved.
The thing with Potter is that he's not helping himself even with the caveats. His lineups and substitutions have been consistently baffling.
I'm not even necessarily laying all the problems at the feet of the new ownership - the main issues predate them by a few years - but they have exacerbated them over the last few months. The patience they're showing is admirable, but sometimes you need to know when to stop the rot.
Spurs sacked Nuno for less - Spurs.
James was basically designed in a lab to be a RWB, so why heâs in a back three and Loftus-Cheek is out wide is honestly beyond me.

Tuchel did it occasionally too.
Oddly enough, it worked a charm in the CL Final.

Had to have more spatial awareness around than Trent and Robertson combined in certain parts as it was quite narrow and muddy.

Impressive, not even mud can slow you down.
Feyenoord and Arsenal winning the league. What a time for bud.

Sounds about right. Not all his doing - some fucking terrible transfer business there over the last season or two - but he'd done nothing to stop the rot and show he could get results out of the side.
