Rapist is an incredible DM when it comes to the defensive side of things. Allows us to play with the inverted fullbacks.
However, the dude is pure hospital when it comes to passing under pressure. Holds onto the ball way too long at time and makes foolish passes. The fact that he has made a few Hollywood passes doesn’t negate all those short passes he aims straight at opposition players in important areas of the pitch.

You see it. Guy always gets sucked into an opponent's rhythm when the state of the game isn't in our favor, like a kid which is why he got clowned at Anfield. His pass selection is very suspect like you said. But frankly he isn't that great defensively either. Ball can be nicked off him from certain angles, been beat quite a few times. Gives the ball away a lot too. Classic case of an Arsenal player overrated for the momentz stuff. Not good enough for a possession based team aiming at the title. Too risky, too immature.
I can always count on an Italian to tell the people what a proper 6 is 💅
I have to say, Firmino going to Barça is not one I would have predicted.
However I will say I would be delighted for him to have stayed with us. It’s a retirement FC signing, but Firmino definitely still has it in him. This could end up being a good stopgap for Barca.

By FootbalIFan Go To PostIt is such a retirement fc signing. There's nothing good that can come of it. Rather play Eric Garcia as striker. Can't be worse than Lewa 🤷♂️

By FootbalIFan Go To PostHaha man the British commentators are so so boring and predictableWorst part, this brainwashing has worked wonders. Same with FIFA games devaluing actual skill and ability into numbers, youngins thinking Mboopy the goat.
If man city win every game and win the league with 10 games left "that's just how good Manchester city are"
If man city lose to Southampton "that's just what the premier league is, any team can beat any team".
Either way they find something to praise about the league

Roger Schmidt said on the press conference that they should end with VAR, there are less mistakes with VAR but when mistakes still occur with VAR they are even more irritating so they should just stop using VAR and let the refs have all the responsibility.
And people in Portugal were singing his praises, saying how much of a breath of fresh air he was for Portuguese football, a manager that doesn't talk about the refs.

Rafael Leão and the money owed to Sporting.

Kloppo really likes Jota/Gakpo/Salah huh. Darwin going to ride the bench for a while.

I don’t think he’s completely wrong lol. I get miles more frustrated when the technology brought in to stop fuck ups just compounds them.

VAR is great for the most part, but we still have the same refs in charge. Before you could give them the benefit of the doubt of the live action, now you just see how bad many of them are.
I genuinely think their should be coaches’ challenges and explanations by the refs behind the decision.
The disallowed Brighton goal non penalty decision is one of the worst things I have seen this season. I want to know why VAR didn’t look at a penalty for the shove from behind that resulted in the handball.
Awful from Liverpool, it's all too comfortable for Forest. Neco Williams looks like MoM.
Zero creativity, zero urgency, all too pedestrian. Feels like they are just hoping for a random through ball from TAA.
