The game really loves to spawn enemies behind you. Very annoying. I'm almost certain there's at least one infinite respawn area too which is shit. It's a small section but it was very disappointing to see.
Found the Red9 and called it for the night though, love the game so far. Neat twists but still absolutely feels like RE4. Not quite sure I prefer it over the original so far but reviews have said the castle is where they changed the most so let's see.

What strikes me is how instantly replayable this all feels. Not much fat in here
Hardcore is nice. Glad I started on it, first. Seems like they give you enough ammo to deal with whatever the situation is.
I really need to practice parrying plagas, cause holy shit. They are fast as hell. The parry notification is on screen for a couple of frames and that's it. I can probably just duck the swing, but damn.
