Don't believe it. I need Chris Broussard's sources to confirm this after the fact.
These playoffs suck.
The first round was exciting. This round on the other hand feels like a regression in every facet of the game.
Are you sure they won't win in 8?syphon scared nowPacers still win in 6 or 7.
Nah, he'll just pick another team to root for.
Clown's gonna clown.
These playoffs suck.
You say that only because Thunder doesn't get an easy opponent like the Heat does.
How many people here root for a certain team even if it's not their favorite? I've seen plenty of them rooting for Memphis,Spurs even if their team is not in the playoffs. Are you sure they won't win in 8?syphon scared nowPacers still win in 6 or 7.

I cannot believe I'm going to root for the fucking Clippers to win tonight. Mother bleepin' Lacob and Meyers.
Fuckin owners egos. I get it...you paid for your business...run it the way you want.

We really need parity across the league. We should start the playoffs with 8 teams with a chance to chip instead of 3 to 5.
You say that only because Thunder doesn't get an easy opponent like the Heat does.Nah. I'm actually quite enjoying OKC's playoffs since we're playing quality competition.
If you leave out the time we shit the bed on Sunday the playoffs have been very exciting.
What do we watch the playoffs for if it isn't drama? I'd hate to be a cHeat fan and sleepwalk through some bullshit series against the Bobkittens and the Nyets.

parity is fine if you look past the Heat

Yeah well that's why we shouldn't bother with the Eastern conference. Aside from Nets/Raptors there's no series worth watching.
A bunch of shitty teams playing a bunch of shitty teams isn't what people mean by "parity".Fair point. These playoffs suck.

Spent the last few hours working on my literacy non-profit stuff and went to espn.com to check out the score. WTF Indy?
59-18 rebounds in favor of Was? Did I hear that right? The next step in the NBA's popularity will only be made if Silver has the balls to enforce real restrictions that create more parity.
I'm a huge NBA fan and most of these games are embarrassing.
An easy fix is to completely remove the Eastern and Western conferences. Teams play each other 2 or 3 times and seed the playoff teams accordingly. 1 vs 16, 2 vs 15, etc.
Not only would it make the playoffs more competitive, it would also create new rivalries not possible before.

The jet lag won't be much worse.

Yeah, also I don't think timezone should be a concern anyway with some smarter scheduling.
Also I just looked at cross conference records.
Bulls vs West: 13-17
Wizards vs West: 11-19
Bobcats vs West: 13-17
Hawks vs West: 10-20
These teams wouldn't be in the playoffs.
On the other hand,
Suns vs East: 20-10
Twolves vs East: 17-13
Nuggets vs East: 16-14
Pelicans vs East: 19-11
Anthony Davis would be a MVP candidate if they were playing in the other confernce.
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTEEEEEEEEEEEEEE rooting for the Clippers!!!!

Yup. Me.
1) I want the team that knocked out the Warriors to at least make it to the Finals
2) In a way...Clippers going far kinda sticks it to the Warriors owner/GM
3) I live in Los Angeles
4) Sterling is no longer involved with the team
So...yeah...in my mind I've gotta root for the Clippers.

Have every one play each other 3 times. It would only add 5 games to the season and you would have round robin and true seeding.
