Not much between top 4 teams, only Max to quick and Sergio to slow
Albonooo
Max 41 = Senna and RBR 100th

Glad Albon got dotd, what a drive from the guy.
Alonso also did a stellar job, considering he had some problems with the car but managed to control the gap to Lewis.

This season is feeling like a bit of a drag at this point, Max winning isn’t even the reason, he’s the best driver in the best car. That’s fine
The rest of the field has felt fairly static most races. Feels the rule changes that have made it harder to follow have really stolen something

Only right Newey is there to take this one 💯

That’s fineProblem is more, the closer the field and therefore small gaps between teams. So overtake delta isn't big enough and if there is not enough tire wear it's just the same running order with gaps staying the same

Yeah that’s after every race. Good fun!
Wonder how the rest of the grid feels knowing that Verstappen is driving at 80 percent or whatevs. Dude's probably dreaming about simracing inside that cockpit.
Race Week: R10 - Austrian GP in Spielberg
Most beautiful scenery, if not covered in Orange smoke, of the year. Lovely old school very short track, 3 straights followed by high speed corners.
RBR19 fast in straights and high speed corners, so Max the one to beat, surprise.
Ferrari with updates and probably happy it is not to hot, question mark still for me will tires overheat (and therefore thermal deg) in race, or have they gotten a better grip on that.
Aston, did their update improve in straight line speed (drag/DRS system) and did they close the gap to RBR, traction T3/4 top.
Mercedes, high speed corners top, but how is their straight line speed and traction out of slow corners (T3/4)
McLaren first part of big upgrades, they need drag reduction and if so with their high speed cornering ability can trouble Alpine. Other, Williams fast in S1, but can they get fast enough through S2/3. Gaps will be small anyway and with a sprint weekend, the midfield team that hits track running might be the one in for some points on Sunday.
Sprint race weekends, so qualy on Friday for Race and Saturday Sprint day (Q/R) and biggest chance for some rain.

I'm afraid that means a "skip it m8", Didi dying gave them super powers and they have won all races since and looked good today, maybe weather coming in later today maybe or more likely tomorrow might help (yeah I know Max and rain, but you never know)
FP1:
Sprint race, so all teams doing different programs so hard to read anything in to it, but
- Max complaining about understeer longrun on hards, but did quick lap in the end on mediums
- Ferrari long out on hards, did quick lap in the end on reds
- Mercedes, Lewis top George off (different set-ups?). Lewis looked good on hards, but car very low (to low, plank wear?), did lap on reds in the end, did not improve
-Aston, Fernando only one set of meds all session, Stroll quick lap end on reds.
Williams, fewest laps, think only one set red for Alex and Lando issue after 1st run, no more laps after that.
Q later today.

Red flag, Valteri T1 and of course moving again and completely unnecessary
That 1st lap by Max 0.7 faster, easy m8.... ah track limits lol
