It flew by. Still good for the Ellie and Joel interactions and the thawing that occurred. Tommy's voice actor who had a role in this episode as the mercenary/soldier looks like a badass.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostIs anybody still doubting Bella Ramsey?
Why did anyone doubt her to begin with? Lady Mormont was a scene stealer.
Is it common for shows to vary so much in length episode-by-episode? I can only think of extended season openers and finales for the programmes I've watched

Concerns about her looking too young for what happens in Part 2 was pretty much all there was to it.
I'm sure they will manage to make her look a bit older for S2.
She'll probably still look 14. But if what we've seen so far is any indication, the violence from part II will be paired back quite a bit so it'll work out

Damn son just flagrant with spoilers, I'd fight you if I didnt play the game.
Quite enjoyed the relationship between Ellie and Joel in this episode; felt like what I was missing in comparison to the games.
Looking forward to the other half of the episode/story though.

Up, up, and away. Well deserved. Show is a GREAT adaptation of the game.
Also, homophobes wrong again.

The walking dead didn't have the budget or production values, this show has already had more varied locations in 4 episodes than the Walking dead has had in it's entire run. Everything was the green backwoods of Georgia in TWD.

Letâs pretend Game of Thrones hasnât trained the audience to roll with it.
i liked how in the first episode, when guns were pointed towards joel and ellie, it cut to a flashback of when his own daughter died. in case we couldn't connect the dots and understand why he reacted that way.

Mate I have seen people still not understand that scene even with it being like that. It won't surprise you if I told you where to find such intelligence.
Idk how itâs 2023 and we still surprised shit needs to be made obvious for people.
And then they still donât even get it.
Look at all the YouTubers who have a career based on âwhat did this scene/show/movie meanâ

If it doesn't matter how obvious you make it because the dummies will be dummies....then why bother making it obvious?

I mean you need to atleast try and appeal to a wider audience?
I seen someone ask why Joel is bonding with Ellie all of a sudden, like even disregarding that she's similar to his daughter......she saved his life in that episode and this dude was wondering why Joel is dropping his guard

That's exactly how these people are.
Episode 5 was fire, they haven't missed yet.
Great show is great. So happy that they got CJ Jones to consult on the show and work with the actors to make sure the ASL and black ASL was right. The deaf kid actor was fantastic as was Henry's actor. The same stuff from the game hits hard here.

People online still questioning how Kathleen could become leader even when they explicitly go into more detail in Episode 5.

Brother, the reality show âthe traitorsâ had people crying and saying i love him like a brother after about 25 minutes
Damn man. This episode was fire.
If the bloaters are this strong, in the show, what in the hell is gonna happen with the Rat King.

Fuck me, what an episode
I had no idea Melanie Lynskey was Kiwi until the post show commentary. Always assumed she was midwestern

maybe it's the commercially right choice, sure. the show feels like it's going to do fine without appealing to the biggest brainlets though.
but overall after having watched two episodes, it's better than expected. how many episodes are planned? hoping not too many. zombie apocalypse can be entertaining, but not if they go full Lost with season length.
