Great show. Book a hotel by Wembley again. It's so easy having a hotel within walking distance. And the Wembley Park underground station is right there so if you need to travel in to the city or to see shows around town it's accessible.
Definitely going back next year.
Felt Joe - Punk was the highlight. Both feeding off the energy from the crowd.

By Lupercal Go To PostCrowd seems a bit quiet on ppv? I assume they're loud as fuck in the stadium'Very loud but I think the acoustics of the stadium aren't good. I couldn't make out any chants, just that they were loud.
Wembley has famously dismal acoustics, though that might just coincide with England fans becoming less loud in the stadium
I saw some fan footage and yeah, the fans were pretty loud and chanty.
Bad acoustics and maybe not enough mic coverage for the public lessened the effect.

I haven't seen the broadcast version. However, after the Hook v. Perry match there was a point where the security guards were running down the aisle the entrance tunnel for that incident Phil Brooks caused.
Also, I saw Mike Bennett on Friday leaving the JD Sports on Olympic Way near Wembley. I expected him and Raven to interfere in the match, but it seems like they only stayed by the tunnel and didn't make it to the ring like Roddy.

By Cleff Go To PostBy what's being reported, Perry actually started the altercation once he got backstage.
Or at least that's the first story we're hearing. No doubt we'll hear a different version about Punk being the instigator.
theres one common denominator and it aint jungle boy
Punk wanted shit with Miro? Fuck me that's so funny. I'm back on his side again. What a worker.
Beat up Jack Perry; so furious he doesn't want to wrestle Joe; still goes out and has the match of the night; threatens Miro in the back afterwards.
We'll never see the like again.

By data Go To PostOC needs to get booed with his Cena ass bookingOrange shot on Phil Brooks. OC is the best. Title defense 2x against Penta was his best. Fucking fantastic match.
By domino Go To PostApparently there's footage of the incident and it dont make Punk look good
dont let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya
Punk is his own worst enemy.
I don't doubt that there were elements backstage that didn't like him and spread unfounded stories to the media. But ultimately, that wasn't worth exploding over twice.
Especially since one of the run ins was with Jungle Boy. A midcarder at best.

Blowing an 8f figure contract on that.
AEW will be better off for it I think.
If WWE goes for him now, itll be fun to see.

It's a shame it's ended this way. His feud with MJF is still the high point of AEW. But it was left unfinished. It was all set up for a Punk heel turn and MJF to win the title back for the AEW originals.
I don't know what goes on in his head. The red carpet was rolled out for him. He was the biggest star in the company. Those Colt Cabana rumours should have been nothing to him.
Very slim chance of Punk returning to WWE. He brought a successful law suit against them. Can't imagine that's viewed too fondly. Vince might have been tempted, but he's apparently not the main shot caller these days.

I do think this entire situation could have been averted if Tony Khan could manage his wrestlers even a little bit.
By data Go To Postdam seth kept it real and not pc lol.
Pretty much my feelings on this. Punks high moments in AEW are the companies high points as well. He was their biggest star and draw, but all I feel is relief that he's gone. Could have had mega matches with Danielson, The Elite and others, but he couldn't get out of his own way.
Collision ratings were cratering and didn't really pop until mjf and Cole were on the show so I don't think punks been a real draw since returning
"Welcome to AEW Collision. Today, I had to make one of the toughest decisions of my professional career. Today, I terminated Phil Brooks, CM Punk for cause. This stems from a backstage incident at AEW All In last Sunday. The incident was regrettable and it endangered people backstage. That includes the production staff, the people who helped put the show on every week, innocent people who had nothing to do with it. I've been going to wrestling shows for over 30 years. I've been producing them on this network for nearly four years. Never in all that time have I ever felt until last Sunday that my security, my safety, my life was in danger at a wrestling show. I don't think anybody should feel that way at work. I don't think the people I work with should feel that way, and I had to make a very difficult choice.
Today, it came at the recommendation of a discipline committee here in AEW, as well as outside legal counsel who delivered a unanimous recommendation, and I have followed up on that recommendation. I'm sorry to any fans who are upset by this. I'm sorry to anyone who's upset by this. Despite that, we're going to have a great show tonight on Collision, and we're going to have a great AEW All Out pay-per-view tomorrow here in Chicago. Last weekend was the greatest weekend in a e w history. This is the greatest week in AEW history. We're going to continue the Great momentum here tonight on Collision and tomorrow night On All-Out Pay-Per-View. Let's take a look at this huge week."
trish and becky had a dope match just now at payback and it was the first match. i doubt they top that one.
Is CM Punk hated now?
Just finished up some more eps of Dark Side of the Ring. Kinda want to go back to watching some wrassling.

Playing a lot of WWF Legends Challenge
Jesse is the GOAT color commentator. I don't know how anyone can pick any different. Like Heenan is cool, and amazing as a manager, but Jesse is fucking hilarious and has a legitamacy to everything he says. I feel like anyone who doesn't agree just hasn't listened to him enough, and I'm saying that as someone born well after his time on commentary (89)
