My mum went to hospital yesterday. Just been confirmed that she has sepsis. Running out of parents at this stage.
I’m not a doctor yet m8. Good thing is she was proactive beforehand and hopefully caught this early.
Spoke to my mum. Seems to over the worst of it but will still have at least two more days in the hospital. My brother actually visited her and is staying over the night, which is a miracle (he’s not close with the rest of the family).

good shit dude
Glad to hear your mum is doing well. Hopefully she can be discharged soon.
Pretty shaken up myself after seeing someone collapse next to me at work.
Luckily for her I was there because she would not have been able to call the front desk or stand up to get help.
I asked the desk staff call for an ambulance while I looked after her but they were saying it would make the boss angry to have the sirens outside. I almost lost it at that, but they finally did. I just hope their indecision didn’t stop her from getting any treatment in time.
Edit: Apparently she had a stroke and is now in surgery.

I didn’t get the job. Found out this morning.
It’s all good though, I’ve got an interview on Monday for another job. Less money than the brewery, but still more than what I’m currently making.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully things go better with the next interview.

Keep your head up Vapes and know your value. You have to make your own luck. Also as cliché as it sounds you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
The first job was with Guinness/Diageo. I’m honestly just happy that I got as far into their recruitment as I did because there were only 4 roles and likely thousands of applicants.
This other job i applied for came to me. The recruiter emailed me, so I followed it up and got the interview arranged. They seem fucking desperate honestly.

I got a septumplasty the other day and let me tell you these days have been some of the longest in my life, everything feels bad
Trying leave-in conditioner for the first time today, decent so far. Not sure if I'll do it once a week or twice.
I got long tight coils so a leave in conditioner is a must if I don't want my hair to be as dry as my aunt's heels
Mine grows straight for like 3cm then it's just loose curls, frizz and flyaways. Don't think I'll ever find a product that keeps it in place after a bit of a breeze.
Tried gel once and looked like a drowned rat

By Patriotism Go To Postyou ok bruv?I'm straight lol. I'm in a rental for work rn - someone passed me about 3 miles back only to run into someone else at an intersection. Spent 20 minutes in traffic just to see them stretched out

safe.
By DY_nasty Go To PostPeople can't drive for shitThis is a phrase you’ll be saying numerous times each day
Got tired of saying it, I only use my car for grocery shopping now. For work or anything else I take public transportation
Bus driver can deal with that headache.
Can't or won't cause that's most definitely a dude that thinks they can drive reckless. I would've pulled over and told the cops they been doing some shit.
By DY_nasty Go To PostPeople can't drive for shitIt's honestly gotten a ton worse since the pandemic. Kids growing up not knowing how to drive and everyone else forgetting how to drive. It sucks.
I can't even leave my street without some cunt cutting across my lane as I get to the junction with the main road. Or speeding through narrow roads and getting within a cunt-hair of each other's wing-mirrors.
Or riding so far up my ass on a country lane, they can see the road through my windscreen, followed by a shitty dangerous overtake that basically puts them infront of me for the next 10 miles. 0 time saved for all the aggressive, little-dick driving.
Or Or Or Or. Most of these people need to be forced to retest before they can get in another vehicle.

Had someone almost t bone me the other day from a side street while I was on the main drag, completely straight street and you can see cars coming for miles, no idea why they wouldn't be yielding and instead just almost ran right into me. Then not long after that another driver was driving like a mad man in the parking lot. Mostly use the damn car for groceries and appointments these days and it's still 2-3 dickheads every fuckin' time. It's truly amazing.
got pre-approval for a 600k mortgage
I could live like a king in Texas, Florida, Georgia. Here, if I'm lucky, I can buy a house that needs minimal repairs in South Jamaica.

If it makes you feel better this is me in CA lol
Also congrats on the pre approval
thanks.
hopefully we get lucky and find a decent house in a decent location. There's a lot of houses that are being flipped and they look nice, but I have a daughter on the way so moving somewhere with good schools is important to me now.

To be honest finding homes sometimes ain't the problem, it's do you want to tackle the problems any given one has.
By i can get you a toe Go To PostTo be honest finding homes sometimes ain't the problem, it's do you want to tackle the problems any given one has.True, my cousin bought a 1930s style home in Eindhoven, spent almost 400K buying it alone.
Now he's trying to renovate and remodel and when they ripped up the floor to put in floorheating, they discovered it's built on sand.
So now they need even more money and time to fix that.
I did laugh when he was shocked to find out that his almost 90 year old home has defects.
