Any kid who actually tells anybody what they learned in school is a wrong'un. The only correct answer is 'nothing'
By FortuneFaded Go To PostMy brother has three kids, 6, 4 & 1. The oldest was born just before I left for the US. Him and his family drove down and stayed for a few days and it was my first time meeting the other two. I hadn't been around kids in quite a few years. It was exhausting, and I wasn't even taking on any responsibilities. No way would I have ever wanted to have kids (not that it was even an option for me).
After around 10 they are really easy to be around, my nephews are 14 and 12 now and it's like having two young friends who are somewhat self sufficient and cool to hang out with. I had them stay with me and the younger one cooks for himself while the older one would just order food with his own money. They're down to go pretty much anywhere and say funny stuff all the time.
By Fenderputty Go To PostWhy? It’s 100 accurateJust surprised is all. Everyone I know who has kids says the first few years is incredibly difficult.

Most rewarding / fulfilling things are difficult. I’m not enjoying my 40’s because they’re easier.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostJust surprised is all. Everyone I know who has kids says the first few years is incredibly difficult.I only have one, and the first 2 years were tough but my wife stayed home and I worked so maybe it was a bit easier that way.
I imagine have two close together is pretty brutal the first few years.
My daughter has been the greatest thing i have ever experienced.
Like literally the reason to get up and go through the motions of life.
I've heard so many times from people around me the whole "I'm never going to have kids" talk, then they have one and its "I couldn't imagine my life without my kids".

Having kids is the best thing I have done. I don't really like to say this because every persons experience is different but the moment I held my first son for the first time was the most crazy primal emotional feeling I ever had. It was incredible. Easily the single greatest moment of my life and nothing comes close. On the other side someone I know had post natal depression and hung themselves 5 months after giving birth.
The world needs more Perfect Blues and FortuneFadeds so never say never.

With that being said, I still stand by my original post. Get a vasectomy fellas
I got some new shoes today and it reminded me yet again that shoes generally aren’t sized for my short but wide feet. The widest part of my feet will overhang the shoe on both sides but I have a thumb width worth of room between my toes and the end of the shoe.

I've got wide feet so a lot of the time i either have to go a size up or suffer with my feet getting crushed and consequently my ankles going to shit. Even worse with football boots, 90% of which seem to be made for men with kid's feet.
Can’t you just order wide sizes online? They probably don’t sell them much in store but every sneaker I buy online always has a regular and wide foot option
By Rob Go To PostCan’t you just order wide sizes online? They probably don’t sell them much in store but every sneaker I buy online always has a regular and wide foot optionNo, because companies often don't offer wide sizes until you get over a certain shoe size (like a size 9 US Men's). Any shorter than that, and wide sizes generally aren't offered. And a 9 in many brands is much too long to fit my feet well.
By i can get you a toe Go To PostSounds like y'all just gonna have to settle on birkenstocks and or crocs.I've mostly moved to Merrel, tbh. They tend to offer wide shoes at smaller sizes and even when they don't, the shoes are either wider than normal for where it affects me or they are able to be loosened enough to accommodate.
probably better in the end for you.
means you can't buy mass produced sneakers and be a hype beast, but you'll have to find a brand that targets your use resulting in a better quality product overall.

Anyone got tips for shoes where the top of the heel digs into your Achilles? I bought some gel pads but they don't stick to the material 😒
Should have listened to the reviews that said it was a problem with the shoes, the hem is way too prominent and tough.

Buy shoes that fit properly
It's why I tend not to buy shoes online unless they're repeats, don't know what I was thinking. Not a single decent shoe shop in walking distance anymore, my town centre is dead.

Paid £700 for a level 3 building survey on a house I'm trying to buy.
It appears it has a load-bearing, loose, broken brick. That's holding up the roof.
If only there was a wealthy slaent member willing to front me the £11.5k of repairs required.
