when i got my learner permit in like 2017 that shit was horrible and turned me off from driving. i got there at like 8am and didnt leave until 6. i honestly think the dmv is why people treat store/restaurant closing times the way they do. That room was packed with people waiting hours, and at 4:58 there are still people coming in to beat the 5pm closing time.
been fortunate enough to never have to physically go into one besides getting a real ID during covid but that shit was easy. i'll sell my car if i ever have to back into a dmv for some stupid shit that can be done online

its not even a loneliness thing its just like a 'damn this too much work' thing
I had to go to the probate court today, that shit is just as bad as the DMV, probably even worse. They got all these old ass microfiche machines all over the place and you gotta pay .25 just to use them and the internet to do God knows what kind of research on your own. Like how fucking cheap can you be? But low key I see their hustle, they make you do all the work cause they don't have any computers or microfiche on their side of the desk. Luckily, I had all the paperwork cause we went there in June and got shot down, so everything was in order now.
I still had to wait like an hour while they checked, then when I was ready to pay I had to have exact change which he sprung on me at the last second, thankfully I did but it's like a quicktime event and he damn near sounded upset that I didn't have to walk through the hood to go break a $100 at the nearest cornstore which was right next to the projects. Then ontop of this fuckery, he said they don't give receipts, so I had to fork over $420 and all I got out of it was him putting a post note on the paper with my name on it to file it

A guy, who I hate but remain decent to for the sake of other friends, included me in a sweeping statement once that mentioned me as a groomsman. I thought nothing of it until I was added to a group chat a few weeks ago.
Never received an invitation and was just confused as hell, just didn’t feel real. So i never had an opportunity to decline the invite.
I have been stuck wondering what to do. Lie and say I can’t go, do it for my friends, or tell the truth.
I leaned towards the lie because this guy is ex military and a psycho and telling him the truth would cause problems. I also don’t want to go when I feel so strongly against him. I do not want to be paraded up there to look like one of his closest friends.
Other friends who are groomsmen have gotten on me now that I need to make a decision one way or the other before it is too late(wedding is in three weeks and I only know that because a friend mentioned it, don’t not the time or place, never even received an invite just assumed I would be free to go whenever)
Dude was planning his bachelor party for Sunday and then changed it to Saturday today. Told him I have a birthday party with dinner reservations and a club that were booked a month ago.
He was not happy.
Now I have decided to man up and tell him that I can’t let three incidents he did in the past while out slide and can’t be involved. I am scared the fuck of this guy because I don’t think I can be around him in the future given the problems he has caused in the past. This means avoiding an area in Seoul that he lives in and hangs out in all the bars there. And also not being able to hang out with my friends if they invite him.
I really don’t like confrontation. But I just can’t let this sham continue. Even if it means causing problems with a guy who I think will retaliate if he sees me in person again.
Not looking forward to this phone call tomorrow.
