By NiceGuy Go To PostWish the dice rolls had a nice animation to them and the results stayed on screen longer. Playing turn based and the camera sometimes moves before I can see results of my turns.Dy might be able to help you with the specifics of how the video game differs from the tabletop game but, in the tabletop version, if you are having to do math, you are using the wrong strategy. In general, spell effects that make the enemies suck or just outright die make cleanup for the martial characters spectacularly easy. Hitting people that can hit you back is a losing proposition.
There's so much maths here compared to Divinity, hope I don't drop the game in frustration before I start to get to grips with all the stats.
Oh, also, early levels in these games are like Vietnam simulators in that you can die in one hit from any single unfortunate roll. As you level up a bit (like levels 3-5), this starts to even out to the point where you have to actively fuck up to die because your health pool starts outgrowing 1-hit crit kills.
I will say that if you gotta eye ball most interactions, you probably should just dial it down a bit because the intro should be an exercise in familiarity with systems and not a gauntlet.
Divinity is a long ways from Pathfinder too. Pillars of Eternity and Baldurs Gate are a better transition point. In Divinity you could just say fuck it and teleport a cow onto the boss's head, electrify the blood, set him on fire, then hide in the steam for the rest of the turn lol. Pathfinder will ask you every level if you actually want to carry a shield or not and its never simple.

I didn't even turn on enemy crits until my second playthrough

The second hurdle people meet is finding the next grease spell equivalent and building into things that utilize it practically.
Yeh you really want to be able to debuff and destroy enemy mobility as much as you can. Just walking up and bashing heads together gets you nowhere. Archers ended really OP for me on my playthrough. Lann was basically hitting crits most of the time past mid-game. You can also break the game like I did by picking a particular mythic path and taking a bunch of fear perks along it's path. I spent more time chasing feared enemies and bosses than I did fighting them by the time I got to endgame lol.
By Patriotism Go To Postduos are poison in apex when you're queuing solo.I love random queue duos, it's all I play when I'm not playing with the boiz. You get the occasional idiot, but in general I find it way, way more manageable than playing random trios. You have an actual shot of covering for one bad player, much less for two.
[edit] first game today, duo with a console player, waits until 4 squads land on the POI before dropping us there and getting rinsed by people who already have 2 guns each and blue shields.
Should have quitted out.
This fight in Chapter 9 Part 2, has hands. wtf. I can't cruise control this one. Hell, the one before was tricky too.

More scope for your own ability to cancel out the lack of wrinkles in the brain of your random.
My issue is duos in trios 😕 90% of my games this season I'm filling for duo players who basically w everywhere without pings, communication, pretending I'm not there and then only typing/talking after they both get rinsed in a bad fight and blame me for it 💀 it killed ranked for me, so I'm stuck playing pubs and quitting the lobby asap if I get matched with a duo. K:D jumped from 1.5 to 2.1 since I started avoiding them.

Is there any point to having an empty off-hand when using a one-handed weapon besides the encumberance? Or should I just stick another one-handed weapon in there for the double attack?
By NiceGuy Go To PostIs there any point to having an empty off-hand when using a one-handed weapon besides the encumberance? Or should I just stick another one-handed weapon in there for the double attack?Going off the tabletop game again, but dual wielding without speccing for it is a dps nerf. Better off just putting a light shield in the hand for a small AC buff.
By Lupercal Go To PostRogue Trader goddamn, the music, atmo, the look.It was the best of the three lines of the tabletop RPG games (not the war games), too. Of course I'm biased because it was the only one that let PCs play as an Ork.
By NiceGuy Go To PostIs there any point to having an empty off-hand when using a one-handed weapon besides the encumberance? Or should I just stick another one-handed weapon in there for the double attack? There are some feats that only work with a one-hand/empty hand setup. Aldori, Sword Saint, etc have things like Parry and casting that only work with a free hand.

I play maybe 1 or 2 games a year, if that. I gotta say TMNT is incredible, brings back all the memories.
By rerixo Go To Postwas not hyped for this at all but it actually looks like way more what i want out of FE. 3h fans might be disapointed thoSeems like there's much less emphasis on the social elements TH had. Fine be me since they started to wear out their welcome. Will probably grab during Black Friday.
Played the first few levels of Golden Idol, what a game.
Feels like something I would have played in primary school, in the best way

I started Sekiro (Steam Deck). Only finished the prologue but I feel like I already understand why the combat gets so much praise. The feel and flow of it is superb.

Jumped on it yesterday actually for the first time in months, going through the forge server browser was great fun. The Walmart map is a mastery of level design.
As are the COD map remakes

By n8 dogg Go To Postif you want to play with the big boys then spend like one m7Been resisting the Zabu season pass as I don't think it's as strong as say Surfer was, but I just completed Series 3 so I'll probably pull the trigger. From here on out it's famine for new cards.
Giant Freakin Robot has reported that Illumination, the studio behind the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie, will also be lending their talent to an animated Legend of Zelda film.probably bullshit, but I'd rather get a 2d anime tbh. unless it's wind waker or links awakening style, then sign me up
This information comes from their own “trusted and proven sources”. These sources apparently predicted other big movie news such as Henry Cavill not returning to play Superman and Hugh Jackman reprising the role of Wolverine for Deadpool 3.
