I have all three installed through emulators already, The Twin Snakes too.. Still wanted the collection though. MGS3 chugs on PCSX2 above 30FPS on the Deck. MGS1, 2 and TTS all run great though.
Still hoping this leads into a MGS4 port. It’s my least favourite mainline MGS, but it doesn’t deserve to be left behind on the PS3.

Factually untrue.

The world needs Snake’s old ass crack in 4K. Don’t you dare deny me that.
From 1 to 4, we were witnessing the journey of a man up his own ass. 4 was just uncomfortable

The laughing octopus level was good, it this was the last Kojima game I played though. I remember liking it but also feeling like he got waaaaaay into smelling his own farts at this time. 1+ hour long cut scenes … wat?
My impression of 10 mins or so of each game in the collection is they run better than emulators, but Konami sure made sure getting to each game is the most time wasting effort thing ever
Spiderman 2 completely ruins alternate suits by forcing suits so many times. What a shame. There’s no point playing with any other suits but the ones the game selects for you.

If you pick enough centrist options in disco elysium you get 'The World's Most Laughable Centrist' achievement. Would love to see this guy play it.
That's why i played it as a fascist. 😎
Finished up the final bit of dlc / content for "Troubleshooter: Abandoned Children" (it just released on the 20th or something). I'm kind of surprised at the level of difficulty for the final mission (not that tough), but it make sense due to the violent cases all being way more frustrating than story based ones. Still, Gundam, Evangelion, and the Gold Destron are gonna make some players pull their hair out, even with them having some obvious weaknesses on hard.
I still have mixed feelings about how some of the character's narrative's ended, but Troubleshooter 2 is in development, and it's kind of obvious which characters are getting next game priority. Doesn't make it any less annoying, but yea.
Kind of hope we get a little bit more of a focus on map control, for the sequel, and a more creative use for "timers". The game's world is incredibly dark, so it almost feels a bit nihilist that the price for civilian deaths is almost non-existant. Apparently, people complained earlier in the game's life, so the "cost" for failure was removed. Still, more mission variety wouldn't harm.

Politics slider reminds me of an old work colleague who used to complain Star Trek went woke with Discovery and it was better back in the days of DS9 when there was no politics.
There’s like, no out of animus gameplay in AC Unity? I’m just free to roam a historical recreation of Paris and do missions uninterrupted?
Holy fuck this is borderline cummy.

they've scaled the animus crap back a lot over the years
only Ubisoft thought it was like so cool to be fucking working in a cubicle at their offices for half the game

My time line is this:
Played AC1, AC2, AC3 many years later played AC Origins. They were all pretty bad taking me out of the cool setting for the modern day story.
I have Syndicate and Odyssey on my account too. How are those?
I liked Odyssey; it is very similar to Origins. Cassandra is a good protagonist and what makes the whole journey bearable.
Black Flag is I think one of the best ACs from the earlier period, but it also has one of the most obnoxious modern day sections of them all.

all the ac games that have white outlines around the player when hiding in the bushes are haram
all the ac games that don't have a crouch button are haram
all the ass creed rpg games are BIG haram
most ass creed games are haram.
syndicate locks being hooded behind the crouch button, this is also massive haram.
the brother gets a big stupid hat when outside of crouching. this is why he is big shit.

Peaced out Unity after 3 or 4 hours. The outfits you could buy and customize were incredible though.
Spiderman 2 was good but small niggles prevent me from liking it as much as the first one, along with some questionable stylistic choices, and what looks like to me poorer replay value.
Hope Insomniac comes up with a good NG+ patch and DLC.

Profit and Lace
too many AC games without tier lists
but that's the issue with a game that has a lifespan *much* longer than most titles. stuff that was ahead of the curve has to meet a base that's ready for it and new players are also going to have certain expectations based on what the norms are as well

I've played:
AC1 which is one of the worst games I've ever played. Didn't finish it.
AC2: Pretty good once you get past the lengthy hand holding tutorial missions that seem never ending. Unlocked the platinum trophy.
AC Brotherhood: Again pretty good. Didn't waste my time with the online.
AC Rogue: Thought this was fantastic. Much shorter than the previous games I've played and it was better for it. Also found the storyline compelling in contrast to the Assassin's side of things.
AC Black Flag: Rouge was released a year after IV and is basically the same game just reskinned with a new lead and storyline. But I enjoyed it so much that I figured I should check IV out. Glad I did because it's also very good. The historical figures used and the locations are very fun. The DLC is even better. Playing a slave turned assassin who then travels by boat to kill slave masters and freeing slaves is something that should be in more games.
There's a 12 year gap above between playing Brohood and Rouge. The modern day stuff just ruined the series for me and I didn't care about any of the games that followed.
When I was building up the PS4 backlog I ended up buying AC III remaster which includes the Vita game, Liberation; Unity; Syndicate; and Origins.
So I'm glad to hear good things about Unity. I know III is considered very poor.
I liked aspects of AC3 back when I played it near release on the PS3. However the tutorial was far too long. Don’t think i finished it.
I was actually looking to play 3 again but seeing the remaster is £30 on Steam I put the idea to bed. Then remembered I had Unity and figured I’d give it a try.
I’m in a weird place rn with games I think. All these great releases this year that I want to play, but all I really want is to play older titles I enjoyed in the past or ones that passed me by. Maybe Starfield broke me mentally and I didn’t realise.

I'm sad Cocoon didn't work for you. It was the perfect break from the 3 massive narrative RPGs since August for me.

Play something stupid like Alan Wake 2 or a shooty shooty. If you want a random suggestion
Or its ugly sibling, Binary Domain. Honestly when I need a break I just fire up Slay the Spire now, always hits the spot.
Watching that Moria game
looks like nothing is happening. Ever. But that's also what Valheim, Minecraft and all the other games zoomers love looks like to me. So maybe it'll be a hit.

I'm currently in the middle of Rainbow Six Wild Lands and I now know why it feels so familiar. It's because it's basically open world Splinter Cell Blacklist with a team of four. The controls and combat are nearly identical - in a good way. This didn't dawn on me until a Sam Fisher mission literally showed up while I was playing the other night. Had the voice of Ironside and all.
By blackace Go To Postwoke up unpacked Cities 2 and had to go to work.I Had the game preloaded since this morning.
pain
Im slammed with work for the next two weeks wihile the game sits idle in my background.
