It must be infuriating for the devs to read gamespot (which gave them a 5) complain about the lack of bonfires, when they were given a tool to create their own and probably never used it. They were also running away from most fights apparently. Why bother review it then if you're not engaging with the systems they provided?

It's really fantastic. My single complaint would be the boss fights, which are a bit shit, but that's certainly not a reason I play 2D Mario games for. They've never been good.
