I know it's not FF16 but it's happening just like that. And yea did a reinstall. Legit during gameplay no issues lol. Might download BG3 to see if it happens there or if it's a FF16 issue.

But then you realise everything, from gameplay AI, level design, dialog, story, levelling etc feels like Bethesda is stuck 2 generations back. You got all these planets but the games feels smaller than skyrim because there's really fucking nothing to do. And then you get quests where you go half-way across the galaxy via 3 menus to talk to someone, only to have to travel back to where you got the quest. Like bruh in a sci-fi setting where you can't just do the quest, send a DM to the quest giver that it's done and carry on with your shit?
There's no real sense of exploration because most outposts/bases/refineries are just cut and paste everything, down to where the loot and enemies are. Feels like you're just travelling a moebius strip and coming back on yourself.
Honestly the more I talk about starfield the lower i rate it. Solid 5/10 now. Bang average overall and in a bunch of areas, massively outdated everywhere else. AI dumber than half-life and that came out in the 90s
Mostly agree with this. I’m a bit more positive than you - put 45-50 hours in so far, I like the gunplay and some of the quests - but I can’t help but constantly feel it’s such a missed opportunity. Hasn’t moved on at all from Skyrim. In fact, it feels far more disjointed because of the amount of fast travel and menus necessary.
Feels a bit of a joke to go from something like RDR2 or TOTK to this in terms of immersion.

HL2 is a great game with no dull moments, though. Even the slower paced sections have something to them. The stuff in Gears… not so much.

Yeah that is the massive difference. Much the same as RDR2 with all the unskippable walk/ride slowly shit in it. 95% of the time it adds nothing. Even on the first play through.
Naughty Dogs games also often do it well, but imo also go way overboard with it. The option to just skip it would be nice, especially seeing as they release remasters and remakes left and right.
