By Dazenheimer Go To PostInsomniac are Sony's real Top tier studio anyways.💀 💀 💀
By DiPro Go To Postthey just couldn't figure out how to put daddy issues in a mp shooter.
Should've just hung out in a COD lobby.
Insomniac are great, and the lay offs at ND had already started. MP team getting binned. They have/had like three teams.
I'd love to see Housemarque with an unlimited budget
Killer studio.
Lowkey Sony's best studio is actually FromSoftware

You only need one or two of them to hit. Tlou Factions would have been more of a cert. So, yes, many if these studios won't make it.
It’s a shame ND wasted any amount of time on this bs anyway. But aren’t most of these gaas by new studios/second party?
By Patriotism Go To PostJim Ryan's GaaS shit gonna hit a load more studios hard in the coming year too, I bet.
PlayStation Studios will become DLC and season content feeders for Bungie in due course.
Soon Microsoft will buy Sony for Activision, and Naughty Dog will make tools to allow Bungie to make maps for CoD
Or something

Can’t blame Jimbo for wanting to shake it up. The world can only have so many open world cinematic pseudoRPGs
PlayStation doesn't really have a string multiplayer profile outside of Bungie. Cod is going away in 10 years time. Jimbo's strategy makes sense when you zoom out.
By jjasper Go To PostCan’t blame Jimbo for wanting to shake it up. The world can only have so many open world cinematic pseudoRPGsOh, definitely, but they gutted the variety that Sony had been known for in favour of GaaS, most of which had been performing poorly 5 years ago let alone today
Sure but the likes of ND have no business wasting everyone’s time and their own talent chasing this crap. It’s going to be what, one game from them this gen? It better sell 40 million copies.
You got Bungie, the golden child, put all your chips on them and let them run these other gaas studios you bought. Just like you keep your mobile shit separate.

That's a real shame that they couldn't sort out the Factions mode for Last of Us. The original was a lot of fun when it debuted. They apparently ruined it over time with the paid DLC weapons. I'm assuming they were attempting something similar from the off this time on a grander scale and likely just couldn't find a balance.
The second game has been out for too long at this point too to just give something away as a part of the original package.

By DiPro Go To PostStarfield really came and went quick huh?I just assumed they're keeping in its dedicated thread. 🤷🏻♂️
By DiPro Go To PostStarfield really came and went quick huh?I've already seen two I realized how bad Starfield is after Phantom Liberty articles lmao

By DiPro Go To PostStarfield really came and went quick huh?really came out at a bad time. right around cyberpunk and bg3.
Could've used another year in the oven it seems. But Xbox was desperate for a decent game to come out. Especially after the Redfall fiasco.
By Dazenheimer Go To PostInsomniac are Sony's real Top tier studio anyways.lol I like most of their games but nah
Bethesda always been bad but everyone had to have their first open world rpg experience and it was usually Bethesda
every other dev caught up on the tech and took away their one thing
remember thinking how shit daggerfall was compared to diablo 1 even

Wolverine will launch before ND's next game.

Really thought I was going to buy an Xbox for it but after watching a fair amount and reading quite a few impressions, there’s no way I’m jumping in for this one. Commits the biggest sin of being dead ass boring.

Yes. Ideally it would have come out in 2006
By Patriotism Go To PostYes. Ideally it would have come out in 2006😭

I suppose it was a different time and the market wasn't exactly the same, but I feel like No Man's Sky was in the conversation longer than Star Field has been.
Packed release widow obviously didn't help at all either.
Maybe Star will have a resurgence down the road like Cyberpunk has with an influx of new content.

By Dr3upMushroom Go To PostKinda want to get a steam deck. Worth it at this point?Yeah, depending on what you are doing with it. Should still be capable of playing multi-platform releases through the current console generation, though you may have to run things at 30 fps on it.
It is a phenomenal emulator device and is worth it for that alone, if retro gaming is important to you.
