Think so. Lots of other things don't cost stamina anymore but that does, with differing rates of stamina loss depnding on the size of weapon. Assume they want you to build your stats to use certain weapons.

I think I'm going to do just that and only play the DLC. Maybe do 5-10 hours of side content first to get familiar with the new build and (presumably) fully unlocked skill trees, then jump right in. It's way too early for me for another complete playthrough, everything is still too fresh on my mind.

Just so this post isnt wasted, Lies of P is by far the most impressive and polished Soulslike I've played yet (Nioh is simultaneously the best and least Soulslike really) but I can't recommend it unless you have a high tolerance for DS2 tracking and some Souls bullshit.

Keyboard bit hard to control since you could fire all your weapons at the same time kind of with a controller, but aiming is way better for sure.
