Optimizing system cooling is fun (to me). Almost as much fun as making the machine look good. It already runs everything I play extremely well. I have actually gone back to playing Grim Dawn yesterday and was averaging over 300 fps. It was glorious. Knocked out some of the main quest with my partner before going to sleep for the night.
e: besides, if your computer was already going full out running other games, this game won't change that. just more FUD from the console-only brats
Just realized Unity is about to fuck with Genshin Impact, Blizzard and Pokemon lmao
They backtracked, kind of.

One day I’ll finish the games I’m playing and hopefully it will be offered at a slight discount when I am
By C4-621 Go To PostJust realized Unity is about to fuck with Genshin Impact, Blizzard and Pokemon lmaoAnd MS. Between those publishers and devs themselves, a whole bunch of games are going to become unlisted real soon if Unity doesn't do away with this monetization.

surprised by lies of p scores. not that they are great overall, but just expected a lot worse from the gameplay i saw.

I didnt play the demo tbf. It just looked... Not great after the first reveal.
By data Go To PostFeel like most those mid souls clones get 8s on releaseWe'd be lucky if they average upper 7s, seems like the visuals, vibe and story did some heavy lifting here.
on gamepass day one god bless
Creating your own weapon sounds fun
By Kibner Go To Post?CDPRs engine is very well optimized to use all cores unlike pretty much every other engine out there, that's why they are making sure peeps understand their cpu is not gonna be sitting at 30% utilization on 4 cores tops while the gpu does all the work (and with RT it will be working hard).

But it's unsurprising console peeps think or want to believe that the pc version is a shambles like the last gen console version was, when it's really the opposite.
Honestly I'm kinda mad they are moving to unreal engine. The Witcher 3 was already the first open world game
that loaded in seconds (they always add small catch up videos during the initial load, and you can get in game before these even get going) and fast traveling from one end of the map to the other was near instantaneous. Back in 2015 with only an SSD this was mad impressive.
Phantom Liberty seems to be the most mature form of this engine yet. Hopefully there's another big expansion in the works. Can't wait.

It was only Daz pls now

Turn based never coming back as Baldur’s gate is a raving success and final fantasy may cry doing what?
Didn’t FF16 sales slow down hard in Japan too?
FF might not have the pull it once did, when it had Coca-Cola ads and it was all over the world, but yeah, to paint FF XVI as a failure is wrong imo.
Releasing day and date on PC might've helped tho. Lots of Japanese devs seeing insane growth on Steam, From Software, Capcom and Sega in particular, but smaller JRPGs are also seeing it... and then there's Square who have a terrible release strategy on PC (some games never show up, like KH) and they never gain any traction.
But the real real news on top of previous flops like Avengers, is their mobile division, no? Their gacha is not as strong as it should be either.

I see we're at the Schrödinger's Cyberpunk point, both the worst optimized game of all time and also the new benchmark for RPGs.
I booted up Forza Horizon 5 last night and drove around a bit before realizing that the game now offers multiple TAA options: native TAA, FSR 2.2, and Intel XeSS. I assume DLSS is also offered but hidden from me since I have an AMD card.
I ran the benchmark with each of them and think the native TAA is the best (in terms of image quality), with XeSS a close second. FSR 2.2 is, sadly, noticeably worse than either other option. I only used the highest quality option of each.
In terms of performance, FSR 2.2 was easily the best in min, max, and average. Like, equal proportion to how behind it was in image quality. XeSS had a small advantage over native TAA in performance.
All in all, I'm excited for the improved native TAA in the upcoming Forza Motorsport 8, assuming it will be based on the existing native TAA in FH5.
e: I tested in 1440p with every setting (except motion blur and bloom) maxed out on a 7950x3d + 7900xtx + 6000mhz ddr5 ram, all stock with no overclocks
XeSS and native TAA had minimums in the range of 122-124 fps while FSR 2.2 had minimum at 140 fps (going off memory here)
