The hype for the next game from a dev that's made some of the best selling and most popular games of all time...befuddles you? Are you purposely choosing to be befuddled?

I have all the answers. AMA.

The launch version of any Bethesda game is gonna be junk
And I don't think they have it in them like Bungie

What...are you talking about fam?
What does Halo have to do with the next original IP from a company that makes renowned and extremely popular RPGs?
By reilo Go To PostThey had to reboot it four times to get it in a decent shape and it took half a decadeJust saying Halo and Bethesda are not really comparable because Bethesda is still controlling the IP and if you liked their old stuff, you probably hyped right now.

Bethesda deserves all the funk they get for how their games launch...

I am not a huge fan of lyin Todd’s games but the allure of a space RPG is too much to not try it on Phil’s rental service but will probably hold off for a few patches. Probably the first time in like a decade Xbox has had an exclusive people actually cared about which is crazy.
VATS is one of the worst mechanics ever
Ultron is right fr. Unless you got builds for an avengers level threat, that's the end of small businesses everywhere.
I had Giselle throwing the whole Zoo at one while Albus rolled dice with his life just to get one hit in lol. Just imagine them with the difficulty cranked.

Dy…what in the fuck are these enemies…
I had one locked down and it decided to unfreeze itself, heal, take it's turn, and attack (2x always). Bitch looked like this.
And there are multiple of them….man…

By C4-621 Go To PostWhat are you most excited about ? Feed me hypeThe exploration mainly.
Some of my favorite bits in ME1 was landing on planets and taking in the skyboxes and just the dead noise of an empty, barren rock. Starfield's basic premise is very appealing in that sense. Earth is fucked, humanity left and is scattered in the nearby stars. Colonists and pirates keep fighting wars over what's left but you can just leave them to it if you want.
Instead, there's a small forgotten faction that's just about finding out what's out there. Finding anomalies, surveying cool looking alien life, maybe even an alien intelligence somehwere?
Love it. That's my jam.
(and the ship building/FTL like combat/boarding is the cherry on top).

Sounds like it's in pretty good shape especially compared to their past launches. I think if they were still independent, they would've released the game 2 years ago and been filled with the type of stuff people talk about in their games.
With Starfield in the hands of media, creators, and those fortunate enough to get the game early by other means, there’s been one question looming over me for months – Is Starfield full of bugs?
In the past, we’ve all been accustomed to, and memed about the fact that Bethesda is known for its buggy games, but is Starfield going to break that cycle? Fortunately, I’ve been speaking to several people who have been playing the game for over a week now to get the answer.
Our first public comment about Starfield being a polished game came from journalist Tyler McVicker, who’s currently under an embargo for the title. Despite being under the embargo, McVicker took to Discord to say, “Also, 15 hours in and not a single bug”.
Taking one person’s comments at face value is never enough, so I reached out to my contacts to delve a little deeper.
Speaking with several sources under the condition of anonymity who are currently under embargo and couldn’t speak publically about the game, McVicker’s comment is the same sentiment given by everyone I’ve spoken to. Five individuals, who have a varying amount of time put in the game have all said that the amount of bugs they’ve experienced can be counted on one hand. In fact, most said one or two at most, with everyone I spoke to having put dozens of hours into the game. In addition, it was also said that almost all the bugs that were found have already been listed to be fixed in the Starfield Day 1 patch.

I mean I encountered 3 horrible bugs that have either broken the game completely or were not things I wanted to happen in BG3, but still an amazing experience.
honestly that's all I need too - and if starfield only delivers on half of what's been promised, its still a must play for me
but I'm also never day one on any Bethesda product ever again so a few patches in I'll be all over it

Beth needs to nail three things.
-Campaign story
-Gameplay loop
-Post campaign
There will be a big emphasis on exploration. Seen a few clips here and there had no idea there was no traversal vehicles. This will make exploration a bit tricky.

I was flirting with the idea of putting it on chaos. Got gear checked hard today. My folks need to hit up an arms dealer instead of the walmart and local gun club.
I need the suits John Wick has and the guns from Eraser, cause fuck this. lol
AC6 NG+Omg thank you🥹
New Missions (in the second and third playthrough)
New Arena Battles
New Decisions & Endings
More Frame Parts
More Weapon Parts
I don't think I've ever enjoyed a NG+ before (maybe DS2)

Those enemies and some of the ones that come after pretty much demand you utilize crafting and equipment sets. You can get away with a lot just playing smart and slapping together decent mastery combos - the RPG part of the game isn't gonna let you slide anymore after level 54 or so lol

I actually didn't even check Shooter Street shops or crafting missions until that exact same run in with the Decepticons 😂 they're why I'm all in on drones that do ONE thing great and beasts that bring incredibly niche functionality like Spiders or Crabs. The game shifts from doing damage to please let me hit you real quick.
Skyrim was the outlier in terms of personal enjoyment, and I’m not surprised it’s their biggest game. Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, I just don’t get it. Oblivion was ok.
Starfield looks inspiring in one moment when I see a space man looking at a ring planet, and then the next moment it looks corny and lame when they show characters talking about a space mystery.
The writing in their games is usually decent to good at a pitch level, and then it just doesn’t follow through when Im actually playing the game and meeting characters, doing quests, etc. It’s mostly uninspired and run of the mill.
Maybe they will level up with Starfield. Supposedly you can build a ship and assemble a crew of up to 20 people or so? There’s a lot of potential there in terms of quests.

Had no idea about steam controller settings and anti dead zone options
My mind is fucking blown right now lol. Got rid of my elite controller because I couldn't figure out why it was so unresponsive.

The Steam controller settings are so good that I add non-Steam games to Steam just to get access to them.
By Kibner Go To PostOh noI'm good now - but I have a SCUF I basically can't use for PC because of it. I've managed to get adapters for it to work on Switch and even Mobile but not PC. Just happened to see a streamer listen to chat about some random fix in AC6 and now I know why my fresh out the box controllers are hit or miss.
Like who actually explores big picture mode? 😂 at least now I know

Me. I’ve been fucking with it for years now. You can access the controller API outside of Big Picture mode though.
If you’re into gyro, you can enable it in any game if you have a PS4/5 pad or Switch Pro controller, or any other controller with that functionality.
I’m not into gyro controls tbh. I do often create radial menus, and map keyboard only binds like quick save/load to long presses on the start/select buttons.
