If anything, people were mad that they reduced the damage on the single player Railgun from 150 to 100, and the new jump attack on the melee strogg. Mostly because that attack seems like it's got aim-assist and they can change direction midair to hit you.
Rest of it? moist af. The new expansion that came with it is supposed to be really good.

Which I can feel because those are my least favorite things to fight

I have some irl friends who appreciated the compass once they figured out it existed.

I think letting games launch without parity on the Series consoles is a good idea, but probably needs to be via exception rather than rule.

I think this is more down to the fact that MS couldn't afford to let Sony have such a huge game as a timed exclusive for free,

Not wanting it to be de-facto exclusive sounds like exactly the calculus on making these kinds of exceptions, especially if the rumblings continue to be that Series S is going to be a problem

Among the Bioware layoffs were DA4 tech director (game still summer of 24, but might be pushed to Q1 25) and two senior writers that have been there since BG basically. Both of them also key to DA Origins and Me1&2. Bioware had already bled like 5-8 veteran writers/directors when the game was rebooted twice. Morale is rock bottom (permanently) at the studio.
