Amid Evil looks cool AFF
Remnant 2 seems like Borderlands, kinda fun alone, top tier gaming with a chum or 2. I have resisted and but on my winter list.

Currently assembling a crew.
there is a big divide vs the game journalists/nerds who have all the time in the world to play games v the average person who has maybe 7-8 hours a week to play

By Kibner Go To PostagreedI haven't played it yet, but all the criticisms around the side quests in FF16 sounds like it would've made for a better game not having side quests at all...
But the psychological perception of it is too much of a barrier for reviews / players to overcome. Why? Because in their head the side quests could only be a good addition -- it would never be accepted that the side quests would be awful.

This thinking is why games are a bloated mess.
they could always just....wait for it to drop in price.
I wouldnt pay more than 30 bucks for a Ratchet game and I like Ratchet

Game length all depends on pacing for me. I don’t mind games being on either end of the extremes. It just depends on how they pace out the story/content.
Really obvious filler content to pad out the length is almost always bad, usually I’ll drop the game because I’ll get bored of it.
When a game feels artificially shortened for a sequel or paid DLC or whatever, I usually come away from feeling sour even if everything leading up the end was good. Though in fairness, that seems to happen rarely with games nowadays. Can only think of two examples in the last 10 years.

Tickets for Theater Camp cost the same as a ticket for Oppenheimer, despite the latter being twice as long, and no one gives a fuck

10 hours is a straight play through. Like not going for the ryno 8 or unlocking and expanding weapons for the challenge play through.
Anything longer than a 10 - 12 hour game for ratchet is too long
This biggest complaint about ratchet is that it hasn’t evolved much. Dash and a new character were welcome additions but a Crack in Time will be hard to ever too

If FF was a straight up RPG I'd be livid but its a Bayonetta with quests just to change up the pace and its fine. I would've hated doing them if it weren't for Clive's performance
Ratchet is a big budget good vibes game, nothing offensive or annoying about it and it looks fantastic.

PC perverts doing god knows what to Rivet right now.
Also, platformers aren't all that popular on pc.

final fantasy 16 side quests got the production quality of a steam greenlight game, that never got its first update.
some of the characters in ff6 animates more when talking to you, than people in the 16 side quests.

Ratchet ain’t much of a platformer
By WoodenLung Go To Posteven platformers like getting over it with bennett foddy sold millions on steam. 💀PC gamers really don't like platformers then
i dont think it is good either, but at least it's a platformer, not yet another third person shooter.

Do we really need to fight over whether PC or PlayStation has more platformers? Spelunky 2 is available on all relevant systems, and it is the best non-Mario platformer.

I’ll say this: Mario is great but super overrated like all Nintendo games I’ve played so far.
I remember LBP was called floaty etc etc, but the controls in 3D Mario are complete shit and the formula untouched. Ratchet gets dinged for not evolving but Mario lol
I obviously like LBP but Rayman Legends is up there. Great game. Great platformer.

What in the FUCK
only 3d mario with shit controls is mario 64, which also isnt a very good game, but nostalgia is a powerful thing.
To my fellow Issac connoisseurs.
I was expecting Tainted Jacob to be a real pain in the arse, but I’m finding him to be one of the most fun new characters. High risk/high reward and a fast room clear.
Got lucky with getting God Head early, then rode that through boss rush, hush, the dark room and mega Satan. Sadly didn’t get a delirium portal otherwise I would’ve cleared that too.
A lot more fun than Tainted Lost. It was a ballache clearing the post it note for that.
Is this a copy pasta?
