I wonder if you can stagger someone, do a combo, and then cancel out of the ending frames of the move with this? If so, then you'll probably die the death if you ever get staggered.

Don't they mainly have good back-compat for their blocks of consoles (NES-SNES, GC-Wii-WiiU, DS-3DS) but when that's not available, they charge silly money for games you already own?

GC supported GB and GBC games, too. I don't think it supported GBA games and not sure if you could bring the back-compat device to the Wii.
never had my switch plugged in. if i wanted that, i would just emulate the games and they wouldnt look like shit either.

GC did support GBA through the GB Player but it was kind of bad unless you did some soft modding and used homebrew.

The GBA Micro also only allowed GBA carts no support for GB or GBC. Nintendo’s backwards compatibility record is pretty good overall so I’m hopeful Switch will continue that trend.

Had a ton of GC games (and the Wii board) I was definitely going to play at some point in the future. Even bought a spare Wavebird controller.

Setup EmuDeck on my Steam Deck yesterday. That thing is pretty cool, you can configure it to create automatically collections on Steam for the different consoles and it runs perfectly like you are running a standard game from Steam.
