Did anyone actually believe that FF13 got better towards the end? It remained thoroughly mediocre all throughout. It's like those people who lied about RE6 being good once you learned the secret controls

It gets better, once you can mix your party as you want and need to do paradigm shifting instead of just pressing auto battle constantly.
But really nothing that comes close to justifying what came before it
I mean the quests wont get any better at all, but as an action title it was sensational from beginning to end.
The only decent quests ended with a fight. STRONG correlation lol

By JesalR Go To PostPls gib more Tony Hawk, Phil, it’s genuinely all I care aboutI was so disappointed with the remake. I remembered being decent at it but turns out I'm just shite :(
By Pedja Go To PostI was so disappointed with the remake. I remembered being decent at it but turns out I'm just shite :(It still might be my favourite game of the last few years. The one problem I had was they used the move set for 2 in 1, so you could manual combo in levels that weren't really designed for it
I’m a just world Phil would pull everyone except 1 or 2 studios from COD and let them do whatever and then let the COD teams freedom to not have to have a game and year and let them improve it while warzone kept people engaged in the brand
In reality Phil is going to keep things status quo

They didn’t spend 70 billion to change things up. CoD is easy money, no point in risking that.
Also, MS has never been interested in letting people work on what they want. HaloFableForzaGears or you deserve to be homeless.

By LFMartins86 Go To PostPhil. Your acquisition wasn't solving a problem for the players.
Man been.pushing that saviour rhetoric for so long even he's starting to believe it 😬
By Rob Go To PostThey didn’t spend 70 billion to change things up. CoD is easy money, no point in risking that.I will bet that COD will stop being a yearly release. It was supposed to start this year but Activision got scared.

Microsoft didn't pay 70B$ just for COD, they also get a massive catalogue of games to fill Game Pass, an incredible list of known IPs and one of the biggest mobile developers that makes almost as much revenue as Activision yearly and will help Microsoft on the mobile market.

Nah this was some Jeff Grubb shit. I think like 2 days after he said a new IP was coming from The Coalition before Gears 6 he had to backtrack.
As far as anyone knows they've been working on other Microsoft studios games & working on Unreal 5... things. Iirc after Gears 5 came out they even said there'd be a bigger gap in releasing the next game due to wanting it on Unreal 5.
Wish they'd hurry up and reveal Gears 6 though. 5 still looks fucking incredible maxed out.
Sony got MS shook guaranteeing COD day and date for PS5/PS6. Sony Status Quo or else. CMA now clear to approve.
By Hixx Go To PostWish they'd hurry up and reveal Gears 6 though. 5 still looks fucking incredible maxed out.It really does look incredible. Bit of a shame about the rest of the game.
Not one to push for grimdark above visual variety, but a game that matches the atmosphere of GoW1 without the piss filter by Coalition would look incredible too.
Shame they have no clue what to do with gears anymore.

I barely have time to play games these days but it was worth using it for another play through on Pentiment

Didn’t MS have this offer on the table in January?

Have to say, if it took me that many hits with a sword to kill someone, I'd probably just give up sword fighting.
Sony has to revive Socom now to prepare for the PSVII launch along with the remastered remaster remake of FFVII.
By KimoSan Go To PostSony has to revive Socom now to prepare for the PSVII launch along with the remastered remaster remake of FFVII.they already did that.
COD was never getting taken away. 4 or 10 years. But now, Everything else will thanks to Jimbo being light years ahead
I'm obviously way out of the loop...
How does the math break down for Activision Blizz and MS for COD on other consoles?
Surely they are making far too much money off of PS4 & 5 to just be willing - in their perfect world - to just drop that support, right?
Not that MS needs or cares about the money at this point, but I can't imagine the new subs for Game Pass, even over the next decade, would make up the difference.

Right. They weren’t going to pull support for this reason. COD makes a ton of money on PS that will now go directly to MS. Sony will be effectively helping keep Gamepass afloat.
Also if Jimbo would’ve answered ABKs call to renew the COD rights deal, they couldve kept future versions off GP for another X amount of years, similar to the current agreement.

streaming and subscription numbers have a ceiling (see D+, prime, netflix etc) - people dont consume games the way MS seems to think they do.
Buying ABK for 70 billion is a cost - not even PS COD dollars will recoup that - its not what is keeping GP afloat.
By Daz Go To Postit wont.

It’s a good thing King doesn’t make billions from mobile then.
MS already has unlimited money. If it goes through they’ll have Elite Unlimited money. All because Sony tried to make every third party game an exclusive, with Starfield being the last straw.
You have no one but yourself, Crusher, and sy to blame for the egregious behavior of Sony, and now the result.
I did think the bit I read about the deposition regarding Star Field was hilarious. Ryan basically didn't give a shit about it and said those types of exclusives are fine...because it's basically no different than what they've done with Final Fantasy...etc.

So Jimbo got extra years of cod at the cost of a bunch of games no one actually cares about? How does that man hold all these Ws
