By data Go To PostI think it helps not getting bombarded with a to do list the second I turn on the gameBreath of fresh air compared to every other online game having battle passes, daily and weekly challenges.
That and the bog standard progression system. You want new guns? Level up. You want attachments? Just kill shit.

The party member situation in FFVII is dire. Don't get me wrong, I'm having a lot of fun, but I don't know that I've played an rpg like this and hated most of the characters I'm supposed to use. Tifa and Aerith are the only two that don't annoy me every time they talk. To bad Aerith gets fucking smoked, so I need to make sure to work on a third (Yuffie, since I just did her tower quest). Red XIII is fine, but ehh.
Enemy Skill is one of the best rpg mechanics ever.

edit: Of fucking course Jujutsu Kaisen has a 3D arena fighter coming out, instead of a traditional one. Fucking why bro... I know…money

ff16 never fucking ends. What the fuck!
They keep just randomly dropping sidequests after every fucking story cutscene. Not on board with the "as good as Witcher 3!" calls as well. Some of them are more interesting (Quinten's for example) but if the game didn't load so fast they'd feel like an absolute chore to actually do still. Not sure why the world seems to have capped at level 33 either, it's making an already fairly easy game feel like the combat (outside of the S-rank hunts) is totally inconsequential.

Nowhere near TW3 lol maybe they would be if they weren't linear? I quite enjoyed the VA and Clive's facial expressions in all of them though so I was always game
Behemoth King was incredibly fucking boss. Made a separate save just to try different setups vs him.
Shiva's cold snap is fucking broken.

TW3 still the standard after almost a decade innit

I think every end game sidequest has at least 1 full-budget cutscene. Very impressed.
Just finished 'Trading Places'. This game has a great cast of characters. Even ones as minor as Elouise and Theo get properly fleshed out. Shocked this is a Final Fantasy.

Eikon a bunch of enemies in the air, tag them up and chain strike them with thunderous fury before mopping them with an afterburner.
There’s so much you can do here. Hopefully they will iterate on this combat with some other game, they have to keep this going.

No. In terms of hours, it's pretty short.
It's just so insanely backloaded in content. All the world building sidequest stuff is being dumped at the end with no regard for what's happening in the story. Major characters are being kidnapped and Clive is like "there's no time to lose, I've got to get back" and then 4 npcs go "yeah but... I could really do with this spider's eye and 3 daffodils!"
It's so stupid, particularly during the point of no return mission. While we're here, the upgrade system ???? 😭 its not grindy nor intrusive though and makes doing hunts extra rewarding, so alright I guess. Clive's complete disregard for himself makes sense but give my boy a break😵💫
we never get any of that in your run of the mill combat heavy games so I actually appreciate all of it ngl.

Crafting and accessories don't matter until new game+. Just make sure to craft everything in the save file you bring over lol

Clive - “sure, I could take a look”.
Rise of the Ronin "leak"
The game is a mix of Assassin’s Creed, Ghost of Tsushima, and Dark Souls😒
Many item descriptions are used to make the lore bigger and better
Numerous side-quests that are more like Ubisoft side-quest designs
Difficulty options
Skill and technique trees
Performance and quality modes (trying to improve fidelity before launch)
Planned romance options
Planned Q1 2024

Dave the Diver sounds good? A slight hint of Wooden and Zaboness

Dave the diver is excellent
My biggest gripe with real time tactics games has always been how much they expect you to manage for each individual unit. This shit smooth af and I love how much it loves the IP too
By C4-621 Go To PostDave the Diver sounds good? A slight hint of Wooden and Zabonesshow XCOM are we talking hereNot very XCOM at all. Real time with pause done right - you can legit trust units to do a certain amount of complex shit so it's not a constant micro fight against the game
