MS said in the Giant Bomb interview that it’s pretty much all hands on deck with QA for this. If it was released today it would have a smaller bug list than any past Bethesda release. Plus after Redfall they’re going to make sure they get it as clean as possible.
Phil also said the release for Starfield was planned to be significantly earlier before they were acquired by MS even before last years delay. Zenimax was definitely going to shit it out in whatever state for the 💰.
