By Rob Go To PostEven BA approves of StarfieldTBF I approve of almost all Bethesda games.
No way this game can live up to expectations.
Also if all they did was take NMS and slap a story and a banging level system on it, it will be a great experience
- Rehauled perks and skills
- Heavily updated enemy and friendly AI
- New Cyberware risk/reward system based on capacity. Too much and Cyberpsychosis will occur.
- Vehicle Combat
- New Police/Notoriety System(more like GTA/Mafia)
- New Relic skill tree
- UI and UX heavily updated
-Updated/rebalanced Loot and Difficulty
- One developer even remarked “I wish this was the version of the game we shipped at launch.”
"We've also redone the loop and whole progression of the game – the difficulty curve is different, the tiers and drops of loot is different, the archetypes of enemies have been redone for more variety.
"Those are the core things that we've changed, and if you look into it there are very few systems that we didn't change or update. Even the UI and UX have been greatly updated."
Sounds good. Wonder how cyberpsychosis works, I think it was supposed to be in the game at launch. I know it's a big part of the board game and ofc, edgerunners.
edit: scrapped the tweet, just list it myself without the hyperbole
By data Go To PostHow am I suppose to play starfield, baldurs gate and cyberpunk in the span of a monthIs something else coming out in Oct that you need?
By Cleff Go To PostIt's as fixed as it's ever going to be. Night City is a boring sandbox, but it's very pretty to look at and there are no longer any game breaking bugs.I was wrong about this. Take with a pinch of salt as the game was hyped up so much before release only for it to be such a disappointment.
The missions and side quests are all pretty good.
Looks like the new DLC will completely overhaul the base game. Levelling up system and skills/perks trees have been reworked and new abilities added.
New random encounters to make the city feel more alive.
Police/wanted system has been improved. New loot tiers and enemy types.
Cyberware is how it affects your body is now more important.
They're just some changes/improvements. Pretty impressed that CDPR have continued to I prove the base game. Also, it's pretty obvious that it needed at least another years development before official release.
Note, CDPR still is undecided on how much these systems will reflect in the base game:
If only they'd add a 3rd person mode too. That would be incredible.
Sasko also said that the development team is trying to implement some of these overhauls to the base game too, so that anyone who doesn't buy the Phantom Liberty expansion will still be able to benefit to some extent.
"[Original game owners] will get some of the new features… we're still discussing how that's going to work, and when it's going to be, and how to solve it," he explained.
If only they'd add a 3rd person mode too. That would be incredible.
By blackace Go To PostIs something else coming out in Oct that you need?Cities skylines 2
By s y Go To PostNote, CDPR still is undecided on how much these systems will reflect in the base game:Was reading an article which said it carries over to the base game. Presumably that's only if you purchase the DLC?

By s y Go To PostDamn, Platinum and the KH team worked on FFXVIWell it was a good run. Knew the game would have bad news at some point
"I think it'll come as no surprise, given our previous games, what we go for," Howard said. "Always these huge, open worlds, fully dynamic, hyper detail where anything can happen. And we do want to do that. It's 4K in the X. It's 1440 on the S. We do lock it at 30, because we want that fidelity, we want all that stuff. We don't want to sacrifice any of it.
"Fortunately in this one, we've got it running great. It's often running way above that. Sometimes it's 60. But on the consoles, we do lock it because we prefer the consistency, where you're not even thinking about it.

There’s so much that I want to play in my backlog but I’m at a point where I can’t pick, so I just choose nothing and then I watch tv.
Was so excited for SF6 but haven’t had a chance to get into it at the moment
By DY_nasty Go To PostI haven’t been this sold off a jrpg from a trailer alone in a long time

By blackace Go To Post2023 might go down as a peak year of gaming. Especially if you are a RPG fan.Isn't Arc Raiders coming out this year too?
By Kabro Go To PostIsn't Arc Raiders coming out this year too?No. That has been heavily delayed(was supposed to come out in 2022) and reworked into an extraction shooter instead of PvE:

Bro, wtf. Crazy that a FF game has all of these folks working together on it.

Sadly, I’ve had to become more of a console gamer since. My daughter really does not sleep unless she’s on my chest, so the last few days I’ll just recline my couch and play a little.
I can’t imagine playing Starfield at 30fps on a controller but I guess this is life now.
By Zabojnik Go To PostWill shoot for the stars in Starfield. I believe in 120fps.
It should be possible for those with true grit, Zabo.
By Kabro Go To PostWhat is extraction shooter?Load in the map with a loadout, loot shit, kill enemies / NPCS, extract at certain points of the map.
Everything you loot gets taken to your hideout, if you die, you lose what you brought into the map.
Kind of like a battle royale but you bring your own loadout.
By Eternity Go To PostStarfield looked mid can’t hatei know i'm a hater but i genuinely don't get the hype with this one.
maybe it's because i don't trust bethesda to deliver since the ideas sound cool.
