Yeah Forspoken was just a bad deal with a third party. I'm sure they inherited this, but not canning it or giving it more time is on Microsoft.

Redfall looked bad the moment it was shown and has never done anything to change that perception. People acting like it’s the end of Xbox cause did in fact end up being bad is wild
Halo IS xbox and was touted as a live service game at launch and lost its multiplayer base within a couple weeks and never recovered it. And Halo NEEDED a W after 4 and 5

Is Redfall a flagship IP? Game looked like a throwaway gaas, gotham knights tier game since the beginning. Arkane puts out "cult" darlings that most reviewers can't make head or tails of and sell poorly time and time again. At best people expected a good game, but it was big copium the more they showed. It should've been cancelled if it's something MS inherited from before the takeover, but I guess that's the extent of the concern.
Their flagship IPs (Forza, AoE, Flight Sim) have all been well received (I think Flight Sim in particular is a damn fucking achievement). Halo was decent at launch, it's just 343 couldn't make anything happen with it MP wise. It's also kind of a relic of a game, expected to have a AAA Campaign, Co-op focused, Split screen co-op and live service MP with quarterly content all in one package at launch. No one is really doing that anymore (although that's no excuse for the poor showing and studio mismanagement).
I think it's just this perception thing that unless Microsoft is doing God of War or TLOU style megahits, they will never be not with one foot in the grave. If that's what people want then so be it, but business wise, they'll be fine.

Redfall just the cherry on top of the complete mismanagement of expectations by Xbox. They spent the last few years galvanizing their very vocal console fans for what? What exactly was the plan here?

Found out that the guys that usually do PES patches have released a standalone just for offline play modified version of PES 2021 free on their website (don't know how they get away with it).
