I thought you already played 1? Damn
Honestly... You can get through 3 without playing 1. But the DLC leans on it waaay harder.
Also fr fr star rail is cracked
And lol armored core is armored core. there is zero healing in mission. souls kids think they invented hard mode or something

I didnttt everyone here was saying it wasn't that great and barely related to 2🤐
Or at least the ones I normally listen to
But I regret nothing, first xeno being 2 was magical.

> Game speed is between AC3 and ACVD, but the pacing of offense and defense is much here; they say that in general the speed of combat will feel closer to AC4.Can't wait to see their unhinged take on multiplayer lmaoo
> They specified that drifting is a new precise mechanic of tank legs (like the hover mode of quad legs), and that they wanted to give unique behavior amd feeling to each leg type.
> Not a big surprise, but shield are confirmed to be an optional equipment choice rather than a new generic feature.
> They worked to make each melee weapon feel extremely unique, with different uses and animations from one another. Like in the first interview, they specify the chainsaw and laser lance in addition to what the trailers show.
> When asked how many new weapons we're gonna see, they simply said we'll have to wait until the game releases to know, but assured there will be a "myriad" of choices, and that players will definitely not feel limited in their options.
> Weapons are no longer mostly stats, but they will vary a lot in behavior; they said they're sure that this time around, players will be more inclined to choose what they enjoy using rather than going for the biggest numbers.
> While they didn't say anything about FCS being there or not, they specified that the player's focus will have yo be more on your enemy's movements and finding the proper windows for you to attack, rather than your aiming, and that "there will be new elements related to that".
> Primal Armor is confirmed to be back, alongside of course Assault Armor; being a new universe, they're of course no longer connected to Kojima technology.
> The protagonist is a human augmented to optimize their ability to pilot an Armored Core, but the modifications also affect their ability to feel emotions. This will have an impact on the narrative.
> Maps are now larger, more complex and more vertical compared to previous games. Shorter missions with specific objectives will return and there will be a higher variety in mission design, but we'll also have longer missions with automatic checkpoints.
> There will be a scan feature, as seen in the trailer, that allows players to see not only the enemy's position behind obstacles, but also the contents of containers that can sometimes have "parts or other items" inside.
> Mech customization and the assembly process has not been simplified, and it retains the same depth and complexity players can expect; they did work, however, in making sure new players will have a more intuitive introduction to customizing their mech over the course of the early game, without being bombarded by a wall of stats straight away.
> Tuning is back and "will be much easier to understand than the assembly as a whole".
> No surprise here, but they confirmed you can choose between having back weapons, or mounts to swap and choose between two hand weapons instead.

Jedi Survivor runs so poorly on my PS5. It looks gorgeous when you're standing still, but falls to pieces when in motion. Textures aren't loading in fully, and there's the odd bit of pop in.
The worst thing is the screen tearing and frame rate drops. Get into a larger area with more enemies and it becomes so hard to play.

Supposedly it’s the best version. Guess all the good tech people are at Epic and PlayStation these days.

Flicking through some videos and impressions it really seems like unless you're happy with a locked 30fps... there's no really good place to play Jedi Survivor. They are all just shades of shit. Glad I didn't succumb to the boredom on thursday night.

Whole point of the thing is for it to be steady.

Well I figured 1080p would quickly become the standard for performance modes on console. I never in my wildest dreams would’ve believed they’d reach Switch handheld mode resolutions.
FSR2 is dogshit.

Another fun thing about UE4 is its RT implementation is incredibly unpotimised, and Respawn just said "yeah fuck it" and ticked it on.

Can't even change settings or click on menu options with a mouse on PC, so EA pretty much just pushed this shit out on all platforms without a fucking care.
Reckon they thought RT default on would cover up the blurriness and other blemishes.
EA: You sure you want to release TItanfall 2 between Battlefield and COD? We could push to next spring.
Respawn: We will beat BF and COD.
EA: You sure you only want a 6 week delay for Star Wars 2? We can release this whenever, the first game sold a bajillion copies
Respawn: No, 6 weeks is okay.

EA released this nonsense but shut down Amy Henning's Star Wars project. How awful must that have been? Visceral died because of it.
And they bragged about releasing it in 3 years?

Digital Foundry has released their review of Star Wars for PS5. Essentially Performance mode is a pile of shit.
Quality mode is the better experience, but even that can't stay at a locked 30 fps.
Quality mode is the better experience, but even that can't stay at a locked 30 fps.
As you might expect, the 60fps performance mode uses a lower range of internal resolutions, with menus suggesting a 1440p target (in comparison to a 4K target for resolution mode), but actual pixel counts revealing numbers between 648p and 864p upscaled with FSR 2 to 1440p. It's rare to see sub-720p internal resolutions on PS5 as we do here, but cutscenes do at least switch to a 30fps cap and therefore run at higher resolutions.
In the 60fps performance mode, the first city area is problematic, starting at a solid 60fps but dropping down as far as the 30s in some sections - accompanied by screen tearing in the top third of the display whenever frame drops occur. A VRR capable display ought to help smooth over frame-rate variances, but the magnitude of the issues here mean you should still expect perceptible drops. Coupled with its low rendering resolution, the 60fps performance mode is a tough sell - and just feels like it's lacking optimisation.
Dunno how every generation they release a console 5x more powerful than the one before it, and still we get games in low resolutions that can't hold a steady frame rate.

Installing Cyberpunk 2077 mods.
So far I have one for no intro videos, a couple that let you customize HUD visibility and the HD textures rework ultra quality pack.
I've probably asked before, but any recommendations? I want the updated vanilla experience, nothing that radically changes core gameplay features too much, unless said feature is dogshit by default and the mod makes it good.
I seem to remember Vapes or Wooden advocating for a driving mod, but idk.

What essentially RUINED Cyberpunk for me was the microstat management. I've finished it over a period of two years, and each time I quit was whenever I had to open up the depressing talent tree.
It shouldnt be about paramaters going up and down and numerical values changing, but how these changes are reflected in the FEEL of the gameplay.
Like the customization options in the new Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon
I knew I could tie this to AC somehow

Hardware gets better, but so do graphics. There’s two main problems though, sometimes games get released in a state that they shouldn’t be and run like shit. See Star Wars, or that Gotham game we all forgot about already.
The other problem is that making graphics better tends to have an exponential demand on processing power. It’s hard to quantify exactly, but take ray tracing as an example. It looks good when implemented correctly, but the cost of running ray tracing vs SSR for reflections can practically halve the FPS in like for like scenes.

I’m not up to date on the current mods, but definitely get something for the driving and something for the combat so enemies aren’t bullet sponges.

Two. One was a 4/10 and the other a 78/100.
They just shut down the servers because people were playing in New Zealand... so everyone got kicked out of the game. Only managed to play for like 5 minutes. Rip.
