I was pretty meticulous with cleaning all the sprues and there was so much panel lining that it took forever. well over 2,000 pieces, iirc.
I basically worked on it for about 8 hours a week over the course of a full year.
TLOU PC still a bit of a mess on the latest patch, framerates anywhere from 30-100FPS on the same (maxed) settings. At least its VRAM requirements have dropped a little

Actually they had been focusing on the cloud since the beginning from what I understand. Even Tom Warren was saying it last year, how cloud and windows would be the big problems being scrutinized and that COD(console) was a bit of a distraction even if that’s all everyone was writing about.

Most games....play like most other games since dual analog sticks became a thing. What an odd thing to say.
FYI, that same or similar "posture" system is also in Gundam Battle Operations 2. They have a light stagger which is kinda like a mini-stun. Just enough to stop you and interrupt your actions for like a quarter second. It also has a heavy stagger, which knocks your suit to its knees for like two seconds. There are some skills that can partially mitigate staggers and have you escape out of them, but they don't nullify them and often take some other kind of vital resource.
The game also has knockdowns which are similar, but leave you completely vulnerable with no ability to escape for a few seconds.

It needed to happen. There was already an impact system that was influenced by weight and weapon type, but it was still incredibly hard to make a zoomy mech stop zooming - or to make a thicc robutt flinch at all.
Also, AC has a lot of YOU DIED environments where pausing over water, a chasm, near lava, etc was instant death. You could skate forever essentially and nullify the hazard before unless you got EMPd.

Back in AC4A MP, I used to start matches with a ton of missile pods and rail guns then gradually purge them throughout the match to get faster. Once everyone's long range chonk damage was depleted, you could just blitz people and laugh.
It all depends on the active armor thing though. That shield/burst mechanic changes everything. It wasn't in AC5 and multiplayer suffered for it. I think only the final boss had it lol

With that said, I have gotten to the B+ ranking after like 3 weeks without spending a dime and using decidedly off-meta suits.
