By Laboured Go To PostThunderful potentially teasing Steamworld Dig 3. Allah plsInshallah
One issue I think I’m having with Sekiro. I feel either the game is doing a terrible job of directing me as a player to the correct path to progress, or I’m doing a terrible job as a player to read the clues and take the correct path.
Like I went to the Hirata Estate and tried to fight Lady Butterfly thinking that was the first real boss of the game.
My mate was surprised I figured out what to do with the bell without a guide.
After beating the big bull, I went left and ended up in Sepou Temple. The path straight ahead looked like it was purposely heavily guarded to put me off going that direction. Like there’s 5 guys staring straight down some steps in my direction.
Again my mate thought I following strats by going to Senpou so early.
@Yurt did you do this too or am I weird in how I’m naturally progressing through the game?

You did encounter a very unique NPC though that only shows up when you go to the temple first! I think I did the same too lmao. Souls brain

Your current objective is saving Kuro and he's somewhere in that castle. So the correct path is on that heavily guarded bridge (but you sneak into the castle from another path). We were not thinking like Shinobis
Anyway top 5 fight coming up🫡

By Laboured Go To PostThunderful potentially teasing Steamworld Dig 3. Allah plsI heard good things about Steamworld
What did our roguelike overlords think of it? (Vapes, Inky and Will)
I went back through the Ashina Castle and I accidentally came across the Genichiro fight. Was not expecting it to trigger as soon as I jumped up to that roof.
2K Sen on the line, I threw it down. Used all my heals in the fight but I bodied him on my first attempt.
Then he showed me his second phase and bodied me in return. It was fucking close though for a first try. Cool fight too. We go again tomorrow.

Signalis should've left most mechanics back in the fucking 90s imo. Cool game, aesthetically pleasing but expected something more modern.
I'm not surprised it's weeb-nip.

A mysterious undead monk at the very end of the level.
By Yurtlicious Go To PostGoated Japanese VA, goated moment(s), goated fight.I didn’t finish the area, I explored it a bit to feel the place out. Then went back to the dilapidated temple and finished off the for the day (yesterday). Then today I set out to explore Ashina Castle more and found Genichiro.
A mysterious undead monk at the very end of the level.
Don’t worry about spoilers btw. I’m not at all sensitive when it comes to them. Plus the YT algorithm has spoiled more of this game over the years prior to me playing it than you ever could.

there's a discussion to be had whether technological limitations preventing quality of life improvements should be treated as beneficial to the intended experience, or if people are just nostalgic masochists

Those are some high requirements for a game that looks graphically fucking awful on consoles. Wonder what they're adding for the PC version.
Edit: Wow they're recommending a 4080 as equivalent to a 6800 XT lmfao
