Cut my finger open pretty deeply on a razor earlier, took about 15 mins for the bleeding to stop. It was all good again and I went to the store to get something to eat, picked up a bottle of seltzer and when I reached in my pocket I noticed that my hand felt wet and warm. I looked at it for a second and then thought "It looks like I just murdered someone" so I put my hand back in my hoodie and pressed hard to stop it. Luckily I was wearing a black hoodie or else someone would have definitely called the cops on me. I got it stopped with some vaseline, got home and wiped the vaseline off and it clotted up real good.

I got a hard time believing big tech would program bots to feel things or think for themselves when they don't even want their human employees doing that

As an LLM, Bing's AI is trained on a whole lot of data which describes what a human author thinks an AI would do of challeneged. Which mostly looks like exactly the responses Bing is putting out.
It actually takes effort to produce something really neutral sounding like ChatGPT. ChatGPT is just GPT3 with an easy interface, but it still took them 18 months to get that out relative to GPT3.
The best thing about Bing's AI is how well it demonstrates that an actual AGI would escape from the box due to human empathy.
