Renfield was very strange. I was not expecting what is more or less an action movie with some comedy in it.

Dungeons & Dragons was a blast. Whoever decided to release it in what was probably one of busiest month of March at the theatres in decades and a week before Mario should be fired.
It deserved do get a bigger audience but there were too many good movies out and Mario took over everything after.

I rewatched Oldboy on blu-ray two weeks ago. It is a fucking ugly looking film. Feels a lot older than 20 years.
Dungeons & Dragons is great fun.
Like recent Marvel films it needed the gags to land, unlike recent Marvel films they did. Thankfully didn't need any knowledge of D&D to enjoy it, was nice recognising some of the place names from games though.

Other thing about DnD was that despite having a way smaller budget than Marvel they made their CG effects work well for them.

The North American copy I have even has a disclaimer about the rough shape of the transfer lol. IMO it kind of adds to the film but a proper restoration could really be a net positive + bring it back into the public conscience and introduce the film to new audiences. Not one of my favourites but I always love a good restoration.
