By bud Go To Postwhich was odd because they kiss twice before that. You guys say that about pretty much every film.
just finished it. one of the worst films i’ve ever seen.
lmao at the retcon this franchise loves to pull off
The only way you die in the Fast franchise is if you die in real life, and even then, there's rumors they'll bring Walker back via deepfake

it is not hyperbole.
save yourself.

When trying to select the video quality on YouTube on that Fast X trailer, the message "quality unavailable" shows up.
Even YouTube knows.

By DY_nasty Go To Postthat…. looks dope. i get it dc lolThey fucked it.
Don't worry, they got James Gunn now to go full edge lord cringe shit.
Wonder how the reaction to this movie being released will compare with Hogwarts Legacy. This is presuming Ezra has a percentage of the box office sales tied into their contract.
By Laboured Go To PostYeah I'm absolutely not seeing it.that i get.
Except for Sasha Calle
By Laboured Go To PostExcept for Sasha Calle with that short cutI’m not seeing it.
By n8 dogg Go To PostFlash looks shit. No one in that trailer can act.
i do have to say i'm a sucker for scenes where the fast guy goes all fast and everyone goes slowly and then it speeds up and it makes woosh woosh swooosh and everyone is like what happened.
Ezra Miller's line delivery in that trailer........💀
Yeah, looks shite. Which it will be of course. As will Guardians.

So I watched Babylon and - mild shock - I didn't hate it. Usually don't like Hollywood movies about Hollywood but this was ok. Didn't ever bore me over its 3 hours at least.
Speaking of boredom, I also watched Skinamarink. I get what it was going for, but there were just a lot of poor, over-thought creative decisions in there that just stripped it of any tension / fear. How he thought he could keep that same gambit going over 1 hour and 40 minutes beggars belief.

Funny because i love movies about movies but hated this one. It's stylish and entertaining but so so dumb.

Yeah I was saying this to Wooden. It's really effective for the most part, the visual and audio style really do make one of the more unsettling horror experiences, but it does get replaced by boredom at a point.
Even at around 70 minutes total runtime It would struggle to hold my attention. I do think it's cool though.
I think I fall into the "I didn't like it" more because there's a lot of wasted potential there I feel. Feel like there's a lot there that I could spend time really picking apart (like the audio! and why the children are rarely ever shown!) but at the same time I'm not sure it's worth the effort lol

I don't think there's loads to say tbh, I saw a couple of interviews with the director and it basiclly just boiled down to wanting to make something that:
- Evoked Lynchian nightmare logic (which I think it did well)
- Took one of the most common child nightmares (alone in the house with a monster) and made a scary film out of it. This worked really well for me because it reminded me a lot of something I've always carried with me, mostly because I genuinely don't know if it was a recurring dream I used to have or if it was an actual memory. (In a nutshell I was a small kid, I was in our house completely on my own and all the lights were off. I went into my parents bedroom and looked out into the street and all the streetlights were off, and there was no light coming from any of the other houses. Probably just a powercut...if it was something that even happened).

Most DC movies look alright in their trailers. Proof is in the pudding. But yeah it's pretty much Flashpoint, but with Zod instead of Atlantians vs Amazons. Will watch only to see Deepface Chris Reeves once more (they'll totally do it, I'm sure of it, they just can't help themselves).
Saw The Fabelmans, liked it but didn’t love it. Props for that cameo at the end tho lol, great idea.
By n8 dogg Go To PostGod, I can’t wait for National Express Coach.
Got to be Megabus.
