By WoodenLung Go To PostWatched more kino from inkyland. Totem was good and sad.Missed it in the cinema. Was only out for one week early Dec.
I learnt gwapa means pretty like in cebuano.
Glad you liked it.
Phenomenal actor. In The Bedroom and Michael Clayton two of my favorites, but he was in so, so many things.
watched this short tonight and holy fuck walruses are weird things. also the only good film about climate change ive ever seen.
By inky Go To PostSilent Night was Law Abiding Citizen tier. Just terrible.I wanted to warn you, but something stopped me. Malice, probably.
as someone who loves a good courtroom drama, i will say that anatomy of a fall is one of the very best in its genre. what a film.
great acting all-around.
ending spoiler: i don't believe she did it

By bud Go To Postas someone who loves a good courtroom drama, i will say that anatomy of a fall is one of the very best in its genre. what a film.I don't feel like the film was ever supposed to be a murder mystery or anything like that. The death was just a jumping off point for an examination of this couple and their troubles.

Saw Ferrari. I enjoyed it, entertaining, but it has the usual issue I have with biopics in that any thematic depth always takes the backseat to story/plot. I think most biopics are basically docu-dramas. I never feel pathos watching one, innit.
The crash scene was wack. Gory.

Does Assassination of Jesse James count as a biopic?
I feel like it doesn't even though it hits all the criteria I can think of. Maybe too many scenes that aren't based on reported/recorded events.

Incredible movie
I have not seen Malcolm X or Jesse James.
I'm not including Scorsese films in my biopic slander. He's just doing Scorsese Things even if there's real people in it. I haven't seen the Aviator either.

watched holy motors. which was.... something. i liked it a lot, and knowing nothing about it, surprised to see kylie show up in that of all films. really felt like the director went with the 'never let them know your next move' mindset into that. the last scene lmao
my dad forced me to watch the trailer, and i could tell already.
By bud Go To Postleave the world behind is insufferable. don’t bother watching it.

I've actually tried several times, but I get bored by it.
Gran Turismo is good. A PlayStation fanboys wet dream. I did a few laps in Gran Turismo 7 afterwards.
The Menu is funny because you cast Anya Taylor-Joy and expect me to believe that she'd eat a two pattie burger and all those fries and take your film seriously. There had to be a better way of making a black comedy about uppity-rich-multi course cuisine experiences. I also think it's some interesting casting to have her as the protagonist in a movie about eating in general.
