Yes, kino is good.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostWatched Gremlins 2. Much better than the first.I disagree
Might actually make that 2.5h drive to the nearest IMAX in Croatia to see TWoW, now that they've embraced our lord and saviour the €uro.
Aside from two shots, the Batman was painfully mid
3 hours yet still felt rushed lmao. None of the Riddler's puzzles were cool what are we even doing here then

Damn this was so good. The editing, soundtrack, cinematography, cast.. all great stuff. I was sleeping on this for so long.
Movie gave me fucking anxiety for the full 2 hours, felt like I couldn't breathe.

Mom: We have Jeremy Renner at home
The Jeremy Renner at home

Some thoughts:
- if the first one is a 5/10, this one is a 7/10
- what kate winslet is doing here is cultural appropriation
- the crab robots are fucking dope
- why set the precedent of an aussie/kiwi on the same boat and then make jemaine clement american?
- the second hour is dramatically inert and sinks the film after a lively opening hour
- i liked worthington and weaver here a lot. don’t @ me
- saldana gets short shrift in this one
- too much time spent with the kiddies
- i appreciated them diversifying the navi colour palette so we could tell them apart better
- the last hour mostly rips other than going on a tad too long. the tulcan attack, dayenu
- the avatar series now makes up 66% of films worth seeing in 3d
- it cannot be said enough how the likes of cameron, miller, mcquarrie, et al know when to hold a fucking camera shot and when to cut
- edie falco is sorely missed from our screens

Apparently his snowcat run over one of his legs and he was losing a lot of blood.
Enjoyed Lynch/Oz. Good montage of directors' visual motifs in the David Lowery sequence.
There's no grand unifying theory, of course. It's just 6 directors talking about Wizard of Oz or Lynch. A love letter to *jazz hands* the movies

The Night House was a surprise, Rebecca Hall what an actress.
Watching The Village and wow this cast, didn’t remember it so.

The bar is so low.
France's version of the Oscars has announced it will ban anyone facing a potential prison sentence for sexual assault from its 2023 ceremony.
The César Awards - due to be held next month - said it was acting out of respect for any possible victims.
It means the ceremony will exclude French actor Sofiane Bennacer, who is under investigation for allegations of rape which he denies.
There had been fears of protests if Mr Bennacer attended.

Finally watched The Many Saints of Newark. I enjoyed it.
Got to love that Jersey has always been incompetent.
I might as well add that I love that many of the fan reviews accused this movie of being woke, and when I saw it I figured out they meant black gangsters not getting rolled by the dysfunctional Soprano family was too much for their sensitive souls..
Also making Frank Lucas look like A Pimp Named Slickback was wrong lol

Must watch Evil Dead 2 again some time. Last time I saw it was in the basement of an old paint shop. Not really the ideal vibe/ambiance tbh.
