Silver said there is “medical data” to support the current practice of load management throughout the league and disagreed with the notion that too many players – especially stars – were sitting out of games without injury.
So basically they have data suggesting that 82 games is too many and instead of lower the total and getting rid of things like back to backs allowing for players to play a higher percent they are just gonna have their games get their money and let fans keep buying games and not seeing stars.
They have been lowering the number of back to backs every season for a few years now, tbf. And the players have already said, iirc, that they don't want to play fewer games if it means less BRI.
It's not an easy problem to solve. They can extend the length of the regular season to completely eliminate b2bs, but players would have to agree to that.

My thought would be that the All Star weekend should be showing all the cool things players can do and not putting them in positions to fail or subservient to BRANDS BRANDS BRANDS
Malone's skeletons bum me out. I knew him personally during his time here and he was incredibly kind and genuine. Been to his house several times, and he has been to mine. Finding out the dirty stuff he covered up crushed me.
