TBF to Dinwiddie I don't really think it was entirely his fault, even though he is a ballhog. He was playing all the non-Luka minutes so not surprising to have bad +/- numbers. DFS, Bullock, and Maxi were also playing like trash, probably because of all the playoff minutes. And at the beginning of the year the Mavs were starting McGee, who was even worse. And THJ was garbage even by his standards. And Kidd has a massive hate-boner for Wood and still only reluctantly plays him. So you had like 5 guys in the top 7 playing like hot trash, and they were also blocking the development of guys like Green and Hardy, and prioritizing fucking McGee over Wood.

Have you seen Portland's bench? Who's Ant gonna play with? A bunch of rookies and sophomores. That second unit is a G League team and Simons isn't fixing that.
when does the buyout market start popping? Some of the deeper bench guys are playing decent lately, Okogie is serviceable lately, hopefully cam payne can get back to how he was the season before last, and shamet can feast off all the space if he can get out of his own head. I don't think the depth is as bad as I thought outside of needing some rebounding.
Anyway I think everyone is gonna own Bob V an apology because Josh Green is starting to look like a legit NBA starter. Maybe not a star but one of those multi-tool energy guys that every team needs.
