boston players themselves will tell you their defense has a ways to go in order to get back to what they felt was the standard last year man lol. they had a whole coming to god moment when they realized williams coming back wasn't gonna fix everything instantly
i've always felt rudy was a psy-op but i'll leave that for another day
By Sharp Go To PostYeah defensive stats are always really iffy, even moreso than offensive ones. Like some impact metrics think Yuta has been a neutral to good defender and others think he's atrocious, you can't really substitute actually watching the games. Especially when so much of defense is team defense and the Nets had awful defensive schemes under Nash⦠or look at what happened to Gobert's metrics when he went to the Timberwolves.kd can't be jumpshooting shaq forever. it be like that
(I do think the Nets offense is fraudulent though lol).

That's mad different from falling off a cliff though.
And all I am saying what the Nets are doing offensively is absurd right now, moreso than what Boston did earlier. Both can be talked about in the same sphere as playing above their capabilities (or even under WRT Boston and their defense YoY).

from second half of the season to the finals run to whatever the hell they're doing this year, yeah that's a cliff
only reason I even bought up the nets was because you were saying it wasn't on Nash it was a roster issue

80/20 rule
They most definitely improved roster wise defensively more than anything. To claim they made no positive changes there at all and it's just coaching is silly as hell to argue.

Yea sure. I'll just take that as a sign that you believe that James Harden was being held back from his defensive potential then.

By reilo Go To PostDumb as bricks unforced turnovers piss me off like no otherThis Rockets team would infuriate you.
Refusing to take a wide ass open three when you're a wing just to drive for a contested layup pisses me even off more. And I love you Josh Hart.

By Sharp Go To PostSilas is the worst nepotism hire in a league full of terrible nepotism hires. Not that a young team like the Rockets was gonna be good anyway but they have absolutely no plan out there lol.the guy with 20 years of AC and scouting experience probably doesn't even come close to the worst coaching hires, nepotism or otherwise.
By blackace Go To Postthe guy with 20 years of AC and scouting experience probably doesn't even come close to the worst coaching hires, nepotism or otherwise.I have to deal with guys who got hired out of school by their dads and get all their promotions through his connections enough in my own life, not gonna fall for the "but he has years of experience" stuff. There are like three of these fucking nepo hires as head coaches in the league and they are all garbage.
By Smokey Go To Postwhen is someone gonna sock grayson allenWith Bobby Portis on the team? Never

allen's dumbass helped the raptors complete a 15 point comeback, with his flagrant 1 on a made 3 pt foul (where he punched trent jr in the nuts btw).

Should I even hope that the Lakers get the win? The Heat have some bad losses this season but idk...
