McClean continues to receive sectarian abuse by English fans and the FA and UEFS continues to ignore it. Yet the Irish ladies so g a so g and an official investigation is launched.

“This is Anfield. The referee spoke with my assistants and said he’s not going to call fouls unless they’re clear. All game it was play on, play on, play on… except the goal. We scored and it was not play on.
When I arrive here it says “This is Anfield”. Many, many years we have come here. We lost today because we made a mistake against an exceptional team. But more today it was play on, play on, but when we score it’s not play on. That’s true, that’s the reality.”

By Hixx Go To Post4 clean sheets in our last 5 games. 6 of our next 8 games are home. Hopefully we should be clear of the relegation zone soon.
6 points from 1st to 14th lol. What a league.
Already a 17 point gap from the same positions in the PL.
By Dan Go To PostPepPep’s mad that his team’s tactical fouls don’t stop the flow of the game anymore.

The people who abuse him are wankers but saying it was "the majority of the crowd" is just wrong and a lie. The only chant I personally heard was the "fuck the IRA" one and it was a part of one part of the ground.
He is a cunt though. Nowt to do with him not wearing a poppy (why anyone cares is beyond me). Loved watching Roberts absolutely torture him yesterday.
The penalty awarded to Madrid this evening was the exact same as the one refused on Sancho. The lack of consistency in the game is infuriating.
Gavi wins the Golden Boy award.
As good as he is, I think Bellingham is by a distance the best u21 player in world football.

Pedri is brilliant, but Bellingham is Dortmund's most important player and has been, along with Reus, for the last 18 months now. He's still just 19 but has been pivotal to one of Europe's biggest clubs for well over a year.
Dortmund's CL QF games.against City fully convinced me that Bellingham is a special talent. He was 17 years old, but still the best player on the pitch.
It's no surprise that Solksjaer was desperate to sign. I'll be sickened when he goes to City.

By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostWhere are all the Madrid fans?We are in group L of the world cup
Did they go into early hiding thinking they would lose?
Volunteers for Brøndby attacked, by Brøndby fans (no copenhagen fans were even allowed, so i guess decides to assault their own). Classic glue sniffers.
Gavi is incredibly tenacious. Proper winning mentality, versatile and one of the best youngsters in the world for sure. I don't think he's as good as Pedri was at his age but not many if any are. Anyways football doesn't really work that way. Some 21 year old could end up better than him in 5 years time
Wouldn't complain if Bellingham had won it but Gavi also deserves it or would eventually win it anyway - Gavi is a year and 2 months younger than him.
Pedri was easily, at worst, 3rd best player at the Euros as well in my unbiased opinion. And was great at the Olympics. And broke records for most games played in a season.
Messi was there for his first season so Pedri was probably second most important for that season. But last season and this, it's definitely him.

I'd even say Pedri has been more pivotal to any good moments the clubs had for the last 3 seasons.

Taylor was terrible throughout the game. I was pretty shocked Foden’s goal didn’t stand, but there’s really no argument to be made that it wasn’t a foul on Fabinho. Sometimes the close decisions just don’t go your way. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
By NiceGuy Go To PostDreadful playerDefinitely the weak link in our back 4. Might be best to leave him out for a few games, he's clearly very hot-headed rn compared to the rest of our team.

Gabriel was our best CB today and the action at the end was never a pen linesman was just completely incompetent

The continuing Americanisation of the sport continues. Terrible idea that just serves to further isolate local fans.

By Cleff Go To PostThe continuing Americanisation of the sport continues. Terrible idea that just serves to further isolate local fans.I feel like most PL clubs do this already, only difference is it's going to have the PL name attached to it. Never been a fan of these pre-season tournaments but as long as they don't start playing actual PL games abroad then I couldn't give a toss what they do pre-season.
